Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

He probably thinks my photo indicates some sort of muslimity, rather than how I happened to be dressed when the picture was taken. I was supervising the Church Cleaning Ladies at the time.

But if words make no difference, why not use the Greek? It has no D in this part of the verse and even more extraneous letters! Perhaps by comparing the Greek and Hebrew we'd get a better idea of how to render this for a modern audience.
Song of Songs 5:16a He purrs honeyed words of smouldering desire

There are similarities between words in the text and words in other languages as indeed we see in French. "Chien" and "chain" have four letters in common and is it just me? Or is the a in chain just an e rotated 180 degrees? Look! If you rotate the a and the i together it's the same word! (Except the tittle's in the wrong position but so what.) Let's try some sentences.

          BROWN SECTION

“Nourrissez le chien s'il vous plaît.”
Our cunning linguist understands that letters in words are of little if any significance and observes the rotated i/e, immediately understanding that the chain needs some nourishment. After all, what's a tittle between friends? Wobbling around frantically, it takes next to no time to find a chain and start feeding it. What does a chain eat? Glucose? Acid? Maybe sausage. I think this is vinegar or something and I've got a haggis..

Well, vinegar is acidic but the bottle was not vinegar. And whatever it was, it really did a number on the chain, eating through it quite quickly. Chains, unlike chiens, are often used to restrain things, tigers, owls, ships (via anchors) and such was the case here. Once dissolved, that function ceased. A couple of bears emerged from the hut and they were hungry bears. The haggis didn't last long and the acid just annoyed them. What do you think happened next?

If only the letters in words made a difference! For those of us holding that different letters DO make a difference, it's fancied that attention to detail prevent us from being eaten. If you'd like more information about Haggai, I'd be happy to provide that.

Wouldn't it be: Nourrissez le chien s'il vous plaît!

versus: Nourrissez la chaîne s'il vous plaît!

Because the difference between le chien et la chaîne is not just mixed up letters, but also opposite genders. (As well as a funny hat over the i).

As for the proper nourishment for chains (not chiens), I'd argue that oil would be preferred to vinegar, as it would provide a protective coating as opposed to stripping a coating.

            That's my anyway.

I've noticed that our new friend (I may be misusing the word) has a tendency to write using not just words, but also letters which do not exist in the Christian language! See this:

Gender in French differentiates between the specific and the general, for example le minuit v. la minuit — the former suggesting an instant in time, the latter describing a vague fuzzy dreamlike "middle-of-the-night" epoch, a distinction not made in American. I'm not arguing or anything, just including some of the discussion to illustrate for OP's benefit.

So, gradually, people became more and more aware that midnight could actually mean a particular point in time. And at that point it changed to masculine. And so we find these particular points on a continuum, all are masculine. The extent of, or when something means a range along a continuum, we find feminine.
There is a continuum of chains, pendant chain, anti-shoe-theft chain, ferry chain and so on. Chain is feminine. A delicate chain worn as a necklace, le collier, is quite specific and of limited application: masculine. If letters in words have no particular significance—since letters assembled into words essentially distinguish vocabularies—how could this or that language be relevant? (according to OP) which was a point I simply could not accommodate. Here are the chains illustrated.

As for the proper nourishment for chains (not chiens), I'd argue that oil would be preferred to vinegar, as it would provide a protective coating as opposed to stripping a coating.
I'm not claiming to know anything about stripping of course, but those ferry chains (arrowed) do come with plenty of oil and your comment demonstrates why the letter D is pertinent to cross-referencing names between extinct languages. Isn't classical Arabic also extinct? Certainly to the same extent that Latin is extinct. Sure there may be pubs in London where everything is in Latin (serving pretty good soup!) and a ululating freak may be able to get out some gibberish from his plinth but most people can't understand a word of it. Some ancient languages have been "revived" but so long after the vocabulary was forgotten and so far into the era of new words never imagined three millennia ago as to really be a different language, perhaps like Old French and Louisiana Creole. Some of it's the same and one group could sort of be understood by the other but looking for equivalents between ancient and extinct languages is utterly pointless. If not, I'm sure OP will explain for us.

Maybe the most important of them all is la chaîne opératoire, which refers to step-by-step of human activity that produces artifacts (often some completely useless crap made of stone).

One result of false education, of teaching erroneous ideas as true and NOT teaching ways to evaluate those ideas, is all around us today. Is there an agenda at play? God knows the answer to that. Some people reject the idea of God and substitute physics or chemistry. Chemistry also interacts with biology and so-called "biological units" interact with one another, as is studied by sociologists. They see God belief as a mental disorder, not so much if the idea is shorthand for the workings of nature or the preconscious mind, more when the idea becomes "external" with its "own" identity. When that is established as a part of government, we get communism.

                            Are you a communist ralph8MAN?
