Out of context? When GOD said "suffer not a witch to live" just what did He mean?

If you're here to argue, you'll find yourself banned very quickly.

Please feel free to post the specific scriptures that we've gotten wrong. Don't just waltz in here making wild allegations, back it up with scripture!

        Really?

Yes, Jesus converted Jews to Christianity. They were then Saved(c) Christians.

Can you show me where He had any contact with Sodomites?

I think you're making up fibs about Jesus.

I'd be more inclined to guess from the emoticon you chose to post that Islam is the fastest-growing cult in the UK, not Gerald Gardner's Revisionist Pansy Paganism.

Where has anyone bashed Judaism for following the Old Testament?

Orthodox Jews follow the entire Old Testament. That's a good start! All they need to do is add in the New Testament -- which does not say to disregard the Old -- and they'd be perfected.

However, they deny that Jesus is God. Therefore, they, like Wiccans, are all Hellbound for rejecting Him.

            It makes us sad.

I gave you a fact...not a statistic. Islam is the fastest growing by wieght of numbers, Wicca is the fastest growing percent wise of itself.
Muslims are pouring into Britain to feed of a land they want to destroy as well...they also breed like Rabbits.....many aren't even supposed to be here.
Wicca has gone from hundreds to tens of thousands in a few decades....thats a broadly spoken fact....not a statistic
Remember what Churchill said...'Never trust statistics unless you fiddled the figures yourself'
Remember what Disraeli said.....'you get lies, you get damn lies...and you get statistics!'

We do not want to break the secular law, which is why we and our True Christian friends in government like George W. Bush have been working so hard for so long to get the Bible instituted as our national law instead of the Constitution.
You asked for where it was taken out of context and I must point this out.

The first Epistle of Peter was a letter written to the churches in Asia Minor who were under persecution. The parts you quoted were about Christians submitting to the local officials willingly, just as Jesus did with Pontius Pilate.

I'm not sure how what you quoted adds to your point about executing witches...Please clarify?

You must understand the context of the quotes you use or there is the danger of misunderstanding.

I suggested the opposite - i even suggested the quote was misrespresented.

You said you learned of Christianity as a child. The question was, "Would you (Landover) suffer a witch to live?"

The answer is, that come a theocracy, "No, burn them all" will be the cry and lawfully so.

However, we must obey the word of our earthly leaders at the moment and thus we cannot carry out God's Command to burn a witch and also to obey earthly authority - we thus obey earthly authority.

And for your information, it does not matter in the least where God's Word was spoken - it has equal resonance.

                              I must ask,

Where does the command to burn a witch come from?

The power of Christ and the sign of the cross is a christians defence against the dark...Self defence is not the issue here...so where do you get the justification to burn "witches"

We are not Islam, we are not told to persecute non-believers. The Salem witch trials was a perversion of christianity just like the inquisition was.

                              please clarify
