    Re: Hi

You're worried that I'm a "feminazi bulldyke" because I'm worried about marrying too young to the wrong man? And before you called me ugly, you are a very mean spirited woman and I'm sorry for that.

and as for this stuff, "I'm sorry. You were a born a bastard child? I'm so sorry to hear that! It's a terrible curse to bear, and to think it will passed on to your children and their children". Why mock me? I'm here, looking for a community to share faith with and you're attacking me. The mistakes of my parents are not mine, and I will not be defined by them. God gave me this life, and I'm going to live it right.
Galatians 6:7-8 "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life."

Sister Mary can be tough, but she only is that way to save your soul. She has a heart of gold. But tough love can hurt, so much is true.

Unfortunately many sins are inherited, which is also one of the reasons one has to be baptized.

Your heart is obviously in the right place! Your highest priorities should be to study the Hole Bible and to pray to Jesus Christ.

Don't be mad at us, be mad at your parents, they set your path.

While I understand that sometimes different approaches are taken to save a person's soul, I can't imagine what good it does for Sister Mary to call names. But it's fine, they are her views.

As for inheriting the sins of parents, could you please give me scripture for this? I've never heard this concept before, but I have been baptized. I would like to think that we are born and able to make our own choices, regardless of those made my our parents.

                Re: Hi

The kind Mrs. Whitford is merely trying to be sure about you. You would be amazed at the number of people we get with motives other than purity. Also, a True Christian™ is direct and to the point. We do not candy coat things. Because of that, weak souled people take it as an affront when in fact it is pure love.

For example, your screen name, it has bothered me from the start. By its' self, it is fine but when combined with the horrid things you say about your family and childhood, it changes from being clean and white to black and sin filled hypocrisy.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

You are coming across as very intolerant, I must say. Perhaps you might want to look into how you communicate with people who just want to help make sure you're saved in childbearing.

                            Re: Hi

Sorry for the lapse in time for response, I had classes.

About my whole family past.. because of the situation with my parents I'm already carrying their sins? And I can't get rid of them? So does this mean I'm doomed already to hell? I thought asking Jesus for forgiveness, being baptized, and welcoming him into your heart wiped the slate clean and allowed you to live a new and pure life. Or am I already written off as a lost cause?

As for my name, I'm not a "hippy", nor do I smoke pot or pass out flowers. Good gracious. I have better and more productive things to do, thanks. But I do believe in the power of love and understanding, which I think is one of the best redeeming qualities of mankind. Sorry if the cliche applied to my name upset you.

And again, about my father, no he is not dead. He is proud that I am in college, since I am one of the first in our family able to go. No, my pastor has not found a man for me, considering he left our church because of the differences between he and the congregation, and soon after I also left. I have yet to find a new church, having recently moved to a new town to attend school. And the fact that I'm twenty and not married isn't that bad, considering the age that women marry today has been moved to later years because of a shift in society. Before I begin to consider those things I would rather have a steady place for myself in the world so I can contribute to the family income, the economy being as bad as it is. And being a teacher is a worthwhile job, being able to do outreach to the children in my community.
Galatians 6:7-8 "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life."

On top of the list there should be Bible study. Although modern society indeed tempts people to go off the true path to the LORD, the values in the Bible are much more important. I hope you will be able to do some serious Bible study to figure that out. And pray to our Savior Jesus Christ for guidance. You will need it.

Okay. But I'm still confused about the whole "bastard" thing. I'm already carrying their sins? And I can't get rid of them? Does this mean I'm doomed already to hell?
