    Introduction

Hi I'm Reverend Buddy Ogilvie, I am a Youth Pastor in Hillsboro Oregon. I knew my calling to Jesus was the day I had been laid off at my job at Intel. I was in the mall and I saw some young people wasting their lives getting high, having pre-marital sex, and galavanting about in revealing clothing. Since then, I make it a point to counsel the youth of today in a hip and happening way. In my "Jesus is my homie" program alone I have rapped and gotten down with the youth of today in a modern approach to finding Christ, our lord and savior. I only hope my new Hip approach will be accepted by such a fine group.
    Matthew 19:13
Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them. The Reverend Buddy

    Re: Introduction

Welcome to God's favorite forum. I don't believe that I've ever run across anyone who just appointed themselves youth pastor without benefit of Seminary School or Church backing.

Or is there more to the story?
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

THere is nothing wrong with presenting the BIBLE(KJV) in a 'hip way' as long as you teach the Whole BIBLE, and not just the politically correct parts. GOD decided what should go into it, not sinful man. Do you preach the whole GOSPEL?

Seems like that mall should be burned down to the ground. Maybe it would be a nice location for our next book burning.

Since then, I make it a point to counsel the youth of today in a hip and happening way.
Hm. Seems like a good beating might be more effective if you ask me.

          Welcome to our forum, Brother!

There is, however, one thing that slightly worries me:

You do realize that it is maybe inadvisable to use black gangster music to teach about Jesus, who was white, and certainly not a gangster? Jesus should be glorified using Christianity-approved music only, I think.
          Sweet Lord Jesus,
I want to pray for those who persecute me, my Lord.
Please, treat their children as you treated those of Egypt, when they upset you! (Psalm 135:8-9)
Dash their little children against the stones for their fathers iniquity! (Psalm 137:8-9)
Hit them on the cheek, and smash out their teeth! (Psalm 3:7)
Make their death and descent into Hell swift and terrible! (Psalm 55:15)
Scatter their broken bodies over the streets of their evil cities, like Benghazi, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Mecca! (Psalm 110:6)
          Praised be Your Glorious Name™.

          Amen.

            Welcome friend.

It is always inspiring to hear of Christians who are willing to get down on their knees with the young and bring them to the Lord. But tell us of your spiritual life before you felt the call from Jesus. Left Coast Oregon must be quite a trial.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

              Hi Buddy!

You sound like a totally cool Pastor!

Just don't be sooooo cool that you think you are better than Jesus!

Also, I know Oregon is a sinful state, but I always thought doing drugs and having sex in public nude was against the law! Was this all happening in the food court or was it in a particular store. If it was a store, I'd like to know which one it was so I could boycott that store.

Teens shouldn't be allowed to fornicate while on drugs at all, let alone in mall!

              Tammi

Girls, do you have embarrassing "problems" with your down there parts like I used to?

Pastor E, I was trying to be brief, but yes I had already had a degree from a Secular college back in my days of sinning, drugs and sexual exlporation. So I went and got my Masters Degree from Warner Pacific Bible College. I wish I could burn the awful paper that engineering degree from UC Berkley on!

Dearest Sister Tammy, it appalled me to see but the Teens I speak of were in the Mall parking lot, I was shocked as I watched them ravage each others sinful bodies for a good 15 minutes. I knew from that moment I needed to accept Jesus as my personal savior and help misguided youth like this

Violence can be hip. A good pistol whipping for a sinful child is very cool.

                    Welcome Buddy.

You do teach from the real Bible and not one of the many false ones right?
Leviticus 13:40 And the man whose hair is fallen off his head, he is bald; yet is he clean.

Are you insinuating that the word of God is less relevant to today's youth then it was? cause the King James Bible was written exactly the way God originally intended to be.

I recently attended a late Sunday church program that talked about gang signs being the handshake of the Devil, how far do you go to be "hip"?

I also cant find any Bible verse that allows you to refer to Jesus as your "homie". Anyone?

Being a youth paster however I could see how dealing with children could easily trigger insanity, so that explains a lot.

                      Welcome to the forum!

2 Kings 2:23-24 - From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they said. “Get out of here, baldy!” He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys.
