Hello, I am a True Believer stuck in that Godless country above the US. Married to a man who does not take his salvation as seriously as I do, but he is my husband, so I'm stuck with it.

Welcome, Sister! Are you here with your husband's permission? And did he also give you permission to criticize him in your very first post?

Well I am here with his permission, as long as all of my chores are done and the children are napping.

As for the criticizing, I meant it more in concern. He has much more of a live and let live attitude about other peoples salvation.

My husband does not want me to give my name on the Internet, even to other TRUE CHRISTIANS(TM).

I do not attend church as everything I need to learn I can get from my husband, or from great pastors on the Internet. I found this board by being friends with Pastor Flint on Facebook.

My favourite Bible verse is Deuteronomy 22:28-29 as that is how I met my husband.

Yes he beats me often, more often than the children. He is a member of the Christian Domestic Discipline club.

And of course we do not live sin free. Everyone falls short, especially something as weak willed as a woman. Fortunately I have a strong husband who is there to guide me onto the right path.

2nd Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

I quote these verses as it, and you, presents a theological conundrum. On the one hand, you say you are deeply concerned about your Salvation™ and yet your husband seems to have little care for this. You thus should not be with him.

Now, a woman is to learn from her husband and NOT from Pastors

1st Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1st Corinthians 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.


Yet this would not seem a possibility. You cannot disobey him nor contradict him nor preach to him, nor consort with other males as a wanton harlot. So how is Salvation™ to be achieved?

If you are Godly, then you will heed, M't:19:9: And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. And thus, for you, having a bit of fornication and providing grounds for divorce is out.

Jesus is not clear on what grounds a wife needs to divorce her husband, but it is allowed and to be followed by a life of chastity. M'r:10:12: And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. 1Co:7:11: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

It would therefore appear that there is no hope that we could help here. You must wait in a Godless union until the Lord takes one of you.

In all circumstances however, you must consider yourself fortunate to have at least found and been accepted by a man.

This is garbage is it not? How can it be that in one breath you say your husband is not concerned about Salvation™ and in the next say that you have a "strong husband"?

I suspect you of being like all women, fickle and deceptive! A true daughter of Eve!

Maybe I should explain myself more clearly, please excuse the female blather.

When I say he is strong and guides me on the right path, I mean in day-to-day life. Dinner is 10 minutes late, he 'guides me'. If I ask him why he came home late he 'guides me'.

When I say that he does not take salvation as seriously as I do, it is because if I bring up questions about scripture that I don't understand, or if I ask if we should do something, or why he doesn't want to put a baby inside of me. I get told to "shaddup and mind my own business". If I press beyond I am guided once again.

This is why I turn to great men like Pastor Flint, Pastor Fred and Betty Bowers to understand things.
