    ...Confused, but slightly worried.

Hello new peoples. My name is Matchbox, or at leat for now that is this forum's name that I'll give myself. And I have a few questions. My first has to do with a portion I read while regestering:

The information presented here is Biblically accurate. Opinions concerning the technical difficulties, fitness requirements, safety, and ratings of self-crucifixion, flagellation, stoning, destroying enemies of GOD utterly, without mercy, and other activities inherent in Christianity are subjective and may differ from yours or others' opinions; therefore be warned that you must exercise your own judgment as to the difficulty and your ability to safely protect yourself from the inherent risks and dangers. Do not use the information provided on this site unless you are a True Christian ™ who understands and accepts the risks of participating in these activities.

So my first question is thus: Do you believe in or encourage self-crucifixion?

There's my question, but to even the playing ground, here's some about myself. I'm a U.S. Christian who who has believed in God since very young, and started following Jesus, about 8 or 10 years ago. That said, when I found this forum, I realized that my opinions and perhaps most of your won't match. I'm not looking to argue at that, but thought you all should know at least as much. Hopefully, we can all have good discusions here. :]

That's not much of an introduction.

What's your name? How old are you? What church does your husband take you to?

OK. Well, here's more info for myself, I geuss. My first name is Heath, I'm 26 years old, and currently go to church at a nondemonitional church called ACC. Not married as of yet, but am also male, so not looking for a husband. My fist truning toward christianity was about 16 years old, when I descided to search for God. Figuring I should start with the beganing, I read closely much of the old testiment, very happy with the words within it. Then Reading in the Gosples I realized how much what Jesus said and did fit with what was talked about in from the older prophets. Expecially how much of the Old Testiment that was about Jesus. I love God and seek Him fearfully, and with much hope.

...Oviously I can write more, but I doubt anyone wants a biography. So I'll just ask is there anything else you'd like to know as well?

        ...
Wait, Ive been here for less then two hours, and I'm "unsaved trash?"

Granted our opinions differ, perhaps dramitically, but are we both not Christians? of the five posts I've done thus far, all I can say is that my opinions seem to question many of the people here's view on others. But give me more than just saying I'm trash and discard me as such.

Everybody starts out as unsaved trash.

Unfortunately for every True Christian(TM) we get on here, there's probably about 20 trolls and a hundred or so who think they're saved but don't follow the Bible.

              Sweet Lord Jesus,
I want to pray for those who persecute me, my Lord.
Please, treat their children as you treated those of Egypt, when they upset you! (Psalm 135:8-9)
Dash their little children against the stones for their fathers iniquity! (Psalm 137:8-9)
Hit them on the cheek, and smash out their teeth! (Psalm 3:7)
Make their death and descent into Hell swift and terrible! (Psalm 55:15)
Scatter their broken bodies over the streets of their evil cities, like Benghazi, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Mecca! (Psalm 110:6)
              Praised be Your Glorious Name™.

              Amen.

Does your "nondenominational church" allow women to preach? Do they admit unrepentant sodomites to enter the building? What Bible you you use?

                    I don't think self-crucifixion is even possible.
                    Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

The translation I use is the same bible I've had from a young age. It's the "New Living Translation" from Tyndale House Publishers. But I'm unsure what translation my pastor uses. As for parts that I use? As much as I know how to do, is how much I use in my daily life. If I read a passage that shows that I'm not following God or Jesus, then I try to apply that knowledge once I know of it. Reciently I've been trying to apply more patience and love in my life.

I see I'm still under the fire of interorigations. Good. I can use that always. But Pastor, what do you hope to find from these questions? I've already admited that I think my viewpoint differs greatly to many here, so perhaps you see what you can to prove I'm somekind of trash. Either way, I welcome a closer look at myself, and aspects of my life that are apart of myself.

My church does allow for women to take the pulpit sometimes. I've seen it in a few occusions a while ago. There are also leaders in the church I belong to that are women. As for unrepentant sodomites, I do not know of any. But that does not mean anything. Anyone can come to church with dark sins they hide in front of the congression, and so no one I know talks about their sexuality in church.

This is my introduction thread, so go ahead and question me further. I just ask you all to remain kind and leave out any name calling here.

Perhaps if you know the context it's in, you might be able to understand it better then I do.

Either discription though, possible or not, I ask why it's mentioned. Is the idea of crusification of us ok in the church?
