The calvinist tradition is built on the protestant heresy of John Calvin. His 'five points' are not the teachings of Paul, they are based on misunderstandings of the work of our true son Augustine.

But my son, do you not realise that this, and most other 'bibles' purport to be translations of the Latin Vulgate? And who, do you think, does that belong to? The Catholic Church of course. It was commissioned by our holy Father Damasus in the 4th century of our Lord and results from the labours of St Jerome.

Being mindful of schism and plot within the Church, Damasus had several fake copies made, but also several fakes with which he intended to trick the heretics. One of these fell into the hands of apostates and was later rediscovered and known as the 'Latin Vulgate'. Douay Rheims and several other bibles are, therefore, copies of a fake, designed to trap the heretic and reveal the true believer.

This is all revealed in the holy documents of Vatican history.
