I'm not quite understanding how you can claim that a volcanic eruption is God's doing? It's actually quite easy to understand if you bother learning some basic Earth Science.

Firstly, God tells us not to put our faith in science:

1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
1 Timothy 6:21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

God tells us this because He has already explained everything and wishes to discourage man from re-inventing the wheel and designing it square.

God tells us that He is behind volcanoes and the like:

Jer:18:11 Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.

Even your scientists will tell you of cause and effect. Did not God create the World and does He not know all that will happen?

Son, we are beyond the petty squabbling and changing theories of faithless scientists – God and His Truth are Eternal.

Ahh, dw, I'm not Baptist. I'm apparently a 'false Christian' as I am Anglican. But, I'm pretty sure God loves us all And that's cool, I'd be interested to hear why you don't believe in God

No He does not. His Holy Bible is very clear on that.

People God hates:

Proverbs 6:16-19 "These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren."

Deuteronomy 12:31 "You must not worship the LORD your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the LORD hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods."

God kills those who do not believe in Him:

2 Chronicles 15:13 "That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman."

Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

Revelation 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

John 15:6 "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned."
