    Re: Gimmie a break...

I tried my absolute hardest to understand you people, but all I got was bible quotes, even though I asked for your own independent responses. It seems you people can't speak more than 10 words without an accompanying verse, maybe next time you all can respond with your own words, instead of 300 paragraphs of bible verses.

Again as my loving Brothers and Sisters in Christ have pointed out to you, you are a visitor here; NOT an invited guest, but merely an intruder.

We are a Christian site and we all Love and Rejoice in the Written Word of Our Lord - the only TRUE WORD no less, being KJV1611. As such, it is a little presumptuous of you to demand we change our ways and the way we rejoice and discuss our Love for The Lord, just to entertain or suit your liberal, feminazi intruder ideals.

Have you every seen ANY of our brethren over at your brassier burning sites, demanding that you pick up the cinders and replace them to your bosom for our comfort?

          I surely doubt it.

You claim you try to understand us, but they are empty words; just as your heart is empty of the love of Jesus.

It is also obvious that your interpretation is totally different to ours. You however are the one out asking questions and making demands that we "fit" for you. We however are secure and have no questions as to our faith.

Perhaps you should ask yourself why the question mark as to faith and what is right vs wrong is only hanging over YOUR head.

          I will pray for you.

          YIC,

          WS.

          There's Jesus here,
Just see what He offers me....
          Down here my sins forgiven,
Up there a home in heaven
Praise God, That's the way for me!!

Let's see-- I find you annoying and obtuse and believe you to be a self-serving hypocrite. That's 14 words, all my own opinion, not a Bible verse in sight, and if you will read closely, there is no name calling. Just stating how I feel.

Thanks for suggesting this. There's a certain efficiency with getting that all out into the open in the opening volley. It was kind of cleansing as well.

Here are some more opinions. I don't think that you are trying to understand us at all. I think that you are baiting us. You have come to a website, the stated purpose of which is to show the world the truth of the Bible and you keep harping on the fact that we are discussing the Bible and, shockingly, using Bible quotes.

Were you looking for sports scores? Actually, that opens the floor for a possible analogy. People can state their opinions about which sports team is best until they are blue in the face. Those opinions do not win championships. It would seem silly to walk up to the players of a championship team and ask them their opinion of which is the best team. They just won the championship, why should they care to offer an "opinion" on the subject to you?

Opinion: You take at least some of your sense of self and view of the world from the vaguely defined "Judeo-Christian" religious tradition. Yet, you are not at all versed in its realities. You probably watch Charleston Heston movies every Easter and think you know the Bible.

Educated Opinion: The Bible undeniably is a significant underpinning to much of Western Civilization. Wars have been fought over its interpretation. People who claimed its authority, (whether they really believed it or not) used the social and historical weight of its power to rally others to kill people who also believed in the Bible as well as those who clearly did not.

Property, people and money have changed hands over the centuries due to various interpretations presented by authority figures who themselves varied widely in the sincerity of their convictions towards the concept of God and the validity of the Bible.

Opinion: The world is-- today-- filled with people who claim to be Christians and they --as in centuries past-- support this claim by drawing upon the words of the Bible. A great many of them cannot differentiate between their own opinions and Bible precedent. They do not really follow the Bible. They claim to believe that God made them in His image and continually remake God in their own image. Some like a fluffy bunny Jesus who loves and accepts everyone and demands almost nothing from His followers except the effort to "be nice". Others insist that they follow the Bible faithfully but still exempt themselves from obeying many of its precepts.

Fact: At LBC we use Bible verses because we are committed to presenting Bible truth. We do not shy away or apologize for examining any words, commandments, or deeds described in the Bible. We accept that the God who is described in the Bible is the only one who can carry out judgment to those who disobey its commands.

Opinion: The Bible is a powerful record that tells us much about the human condition. That power must be recognized. Only a fool would trifle with it or its most devout believers. The Bible and its committed believers still have the power to change the world. The fluffy bunny dabblers are only interested in warm and fuzzy change.

Opinion: My knowledge of the Bible has at times challenged me, comforted me and frightened me. Here, at LBC, I have confronted its truth.

And now, at last, I can state with confidence that I am free.

            Sincerely Yours,

            Handmaiden

              My opinion of you?

You're one of the thousands of fuzzy bunny Christians that come onto this board and demand that we not follow the Bible. How can someone claim to be a Christian but then make a God in their own image?

You think you're being witty and that you are going to win us over, whereas we've seen these questions so many times that we've all pretty much got pat answers for them. It really does get tiring.

Well, my friend, you come here accusing us of not "living the way Jesus intended." If we want to know what Jesus intended, we have to open the Bible, so to refute your accusation, we are forced to quote Scripture. Surely you must have realized that?

I can speak lots of words without quoting Verses directly, but each and every one of those words are firmly grounded within Scripture, so it doesn't matter that much. If you think that those are not "independent responses," then you're a sorry excuse for a Christian.

My Brothers and Sisters quoted numerous Passages of Scripture that made clear that is allowed to judge others, Jesus was not some whining pacifist hippie like liberals like to portray Him and God hates some people and kills them. You reply like this

Okay, we've just showed a couple of Passages that shows that God wants the death penalty and likes to kill unbelievers, and you just say: "nope. He didn't." My friend, it's right there for you to read in the Bible. If you don't accept what the Bible teaches, why call yourself a Christian? Don't you know what God thinks of people who claim to follow Scripture, but do not do in reality?

                1 Corinthians 4:1-3:
                Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost

True Christians™ do not "interpret" (handling God's Word deceitfully) the Bible, we do what it says.
                Sweet Lord Jesus,
I want to pray for those who persecute me, my Lord.
Please, treat their children as you treated those of Egypt, when they upset you! (Psalm 135:8-9)
Dash their little children against the stones for their fathers iniquity! (Psalm 137:8-9)
Hit them on the cheek, and smash out their teeth! (Psalm 3:7)
Make their death and descent into Hell swift and terrible! (Psalm 55:15)
Scatter their broken bodies over the streets of their evil cities, like Benghazi, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Mecca! (Psalm 110:6)
                Praised be Your Glorious Name™.

                Amen.

I think you'll like me. See I am just a regular simple man. Not a preacher or a Pastor. I do go to Church a few times a week. I do read my KJV1611 Bible every day to the family.
Here is the deal in simple, common words. Do you love God or Satan. One or the other, there is no middle ground. Come judgment day, God will have a mark next to your name on The List®. Heaven or Hell. Now, I suspect you want to go to Heaven like all smart people. God marks the fast path to heaven and He provides a guidebook, the KJV1611 Bible. He provides helpers in the form of Pastors to help you with the confusing parts. So, just like taking the family cross country to the Grand Canyon, using a map to guide you, you use the KJV Bible to guide you through life. Simple, isn't it.
The problem you and other Hell Bound Heathens seem to have is you want to change the directions, you want to deviate from the path. God watches you ignoring His Word. This is the equivalent of spitting in His Eye. You may eventually get to your destination but not without misery and expense. Your trip to the Canyon will cost more due to additional fuel, perhaps even an extra night at Motel 8. You r trip through life may be delayed and require repenting for transgressions. Then there is the pain of syphilis. The risk you run of God punishing you by removing a limb. He could even go so far as to inflict His Great Fury on someone you love, an relative innocent like a wide eyed child, making then a retard or having an arm growing out of their forehead.
So the easy path to True Salvation is to read your KJV every day. Pray until your knees bleed and become calloused. Follow every single word in the KJV Bible, with out deviation or 'interpretation'. Do what God wants, what you want really does not matter. After all who is smarter, you or God?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

                      Amen Sister!

If you're Christian, you follow the Bible. Period.

If you don't WANT to follow the Bible, then you're not Christian. You follow a religion you created yourself that also has a Jesus figure in it, but it's not the real Jesus. More kind of like Mexicans call themselves Jesus but aren't Jesus (or Christian) either.

Make a choice: either be Christian or don't be. Not something in between.
I take my orders from Jesus H. Christ, supernatural born US citizen

Be wary of false Kumbaya Christians who use a highlighter and scissors to read the Bible. God wants us to read the lines, not between the lines. False Christians will go to Hell:
                      Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Asking a Christian to prove God exists is like asking him to prove his phone rings because yours doesn't. Make that call yourself! Dial 0800-get-on-your-knees-and-pray.

                              Handmaiden

The bible is a fine book, don't get me wrong; but the word within it are quite open to interpretation. Every reprint, version, language... so many different bibles, yet which one is the indisputable true word of God? That's why I asked for your opinion, not the words of your respective version of the bible.
I want to hear your OWN words, not those quoted from a reprinted, revised, edited, translated, 4.99 book. I'm doing the best I can not to bash the bible, but you can only go so far with the words of another, when spell checked by a computer and changed by a publisher. I ask you these questions so I can better understand you, not to attack your beliefs. My interpretation of Christianity is much more different from yours, I just need to understand why you think some of your beliefs are as virtuous as you say they are. Also, apologies if I used some strong terminology earlier, I just wanted to spark some quick and passionate responses.

A couple of responses I'm a little skeptical about.

Jesus spoke about bringing a sword to the world and and His method of changing people involves having them accept a blood sacrifice. That blood is required by God, who stated in His Word that, "Without the spilling of blood; there is no remission for sin."
What verse is that exactly? I don't really remember Jesus talking about taking a sword to anybody. Didn't he die for our sins, so that we wouldn't have to shed anymore blood?

We don't need to understand these people that you speak of; we understand the Bible, and it is Biblical doctrine condemning these people, not us.
You can't just abandon people just because you don't understand their culture or behavior. Learning about sinful cultures is not the same as indulging in them.

If you really do want my opinion, I suppose I can state that I think you're a tool.
Come on now, that wasn't not a very christian response.

So... are you saying Jesus didn't believe in love and was a violent man? Not sure what you're getting at here.

You seem to think God is always nice and fluffy, while this is clearly not the case.
Maybe not nice and fluffy, but I never considered him a vengeful God, except when he flooded the earth and killed everyone after Noah built the ark.

God kills those who do not believe in Him:
                                • 2 Chronicles 15:13 "That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman."
                                • John 15:6 "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned."

Even if they don't believe in God, I don't really think he would murder people.

                                People God hates:
                                • Proverbs 6:16-19 "These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren."

Are you saying God hates me? I think it says "things doth the LORD hate", not people right? I was told that God never despises his own children; but I suppose that's just my interpretation.
You seem to think God is always nice and fluffy, while this is clearly not the case.

You need to read the KJV1611. God did not flood the earth because Noah built an ark!! That's just silly.
