Well Jeremy, it is obvious to me you have never spent any honest tie in Church. I have been there countless times when He has spoken to the entire congregation.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

No, that's not my reasoning at all. I'm saying that just because it is written in a book doesn't make it the truth. It may or may not be the truth. The bible was written by men who CLAIM that they are inspired by God to write these books. Then MEN chose which books would be included into collection.

Men are imperfect and flawed, do you really expect the bible that was written by men and put together by men to be perfect?

              Look at your statement again;

"I'm saying that just because it is written in a book doesn't make it the truth."

Therefore a book the says God does not exist is not being truthful.

The Bible is not just one book. It is many books put together to form the Bible, written over a long period time. Are all these books wrong then, even though they are centuries apart.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
Proverbs 19:25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
Ezekiel 16:14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
Proverbs 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Genesis 24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
Song of Solomon 1:15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.

On the contrary, KJV1611 has, as part of its preface these awesome words:
AN ANSWER TO THE IMPUTATIONS OF OUR ADVERSARIES

Now to the latter we answer; that we do not deny, nay we affirm and avow, that the very meanest translation of the Bible in English, set forth by men of our profession, (for we have seen none of theirs of the whole Bible as yet) containeth the word of God, nay, is the word of God.
You are an adversary adn you are making imputations - so that bit is aimed squarely at you!

The burden of proof is on you to prove that it happened in the first place. I'm not assuming that it didn't happen, you have to prove that it did.

Interesting you avoided my previous post.
The burden of proof is not upon us. In any civil matter, it is the accuser that must provide a shred of proof, you have provided none that we are wrong.

Yes I do because if the bible was so clear and authoritative, then there wouldn't be so many varations of the Judaism, including christianity, islam, jehovah's witness, mormonism, etc.

Yes you are friend, the Bible is Gods Holy Word, and you are trying to say it is not Gods Word. So you saying that when God tells us the Bible is his Word that he is a liar. If you cannot understand that plain logic I think you must be possessed by demons If you give yourself to Jesus and believe in his word you will be saved.

"I'm saying that just because it is written in a book doesn't make it the truth."

Therefore a book the says God does not exist is not being truthful.

The Bible is not just one book. It is many books put together to form the Bible, written over a long period time. Are all these books wrong then, even though they are centuries apart.
It would only be false if it could be proven that God does exist. The statement "God exists" or "God does not exist" have no correct answer. These are questions that are meaningless to ponder.

Why does a book being written over many centuries mean it must be true? That's not logical.
