Kind of hear for research reasons.

Just kind of joined to lurk and such. I’m writing something about the affects of the internet on religion and its organization. It will be a different internet story then most now, AKA the hacktivist.

I do not understand. The internet does not affect religion. Christianity is about Jesus, not about the internet. The internet is simply a medium that enables Christians in disparate locations to communicate with one another. Did you do a story on how the telephone affects Christianity back in the 1980s?

What the increased communication has effected is what I am addressing. In some areas this has been a game changer others limited if any change.

it was an identity i was given one time in Egypt as a joke, i have kept it. though I spelled it wrong and kept the spelling mistake of adding an “I” because its unique. Its like saying Mr. smith for a westerner for some parts of the world.

I can assure you that our church's beliefs have not been influenced by any advancements in communications technology. We believe in the KJV1611 Bible and that's that. In fact, I resent that you even suspected such a thing, Alex Hussein.

Found cheap tickets out of JFK guess a lot of people canceled close to the last minute. Also had a associate I knew working at the US embassy there so I figured he needed a visit.

So you don’t believe increased communication has affected your group? The internet has not made recruitment and activism easier? it has not improved the spread of ideas and concern around, or helped to cement you guys as a group?

None of that has anything to do with the fact that Jesus is God. I will not answer any further questions until you admit that Jesus is the King of Kings. Your soul is on the line.

Why would any one want to go to Egypt? Its full of sand and Mooslims. Why did you want to blow up the US embassy?

We as a group are here for one reason, Jesus. Now would you like to talk about Jesus and the Bible? You must understand that on one can improve upon the communication skills of Jesus. No one can improve upon the Word of God. Praise Jesus, and thank you for the Interweb. Now we can share His word with everyone.

For whom are you conducting your "research"? I'm guessing a high school newspaper, from your spelling and grammar.

While technology has made it easier to meet like-minded people -- look what it has done for terrorist recruitment -- it has not impacted what Christianity is.

The greatest impact of technology on the spread of True Christianity(tm) is the free and easy availability of the King James Bible online in a searchable format. This helps our visitors to look up and confirm for themselves God's Truth. If they are intellectually honest, they can no longer believe we are lying about what the Bible says simply because it doesn't say what they WANT it to say.

That said, most of the fluffy-bunny lip-service Christians who claim God is omnibenevolent and that their pet hamsters and homosexual buddies and Jewish/Buddhist/Muslim/Hindu/atheist/Sikh pals will join them in Heaven aren't intellectually honest, and ignore or rationalize away what the Bible says if it disagrees with what they want.
                        Bible boring? Nonsense!
Try Bible in a Year with Brother V, or join Shirlee and the kids as they discuss Real Bible Stories!
You can't be a Christian if you don't know God's Word!

I believe you miss read me I had a friend there I was visiting. Great guy works at the embassy; I saw the countries historical sights and partied with my buddy. I had a general good time and I would suggest going to anyone, I would advise females to not go alone; most of the historical sites are amazing. So in my mind there are plenty of reasons to go. Some of the old churches there are absolutely amazing.

As for the paper it’s for a communications class, I am currently in Uni. Figured it would be a good unique slant. And I have not been good at spelling and grammar sense my primary school days. Also note that I am not talking about how it has change the religion but how its change the culture around it. I don’t expect the internet to change dogmas but I am curious how people see its affects in their organization, prompted cooperation or discouraged it, and outside the organization, good for society bad for society, it’s one of those questions.
