Hi Peter here, from the UK, regard myself as a Christian...but

Matthew 7:1

I would appreciate you answering my questions below about your group; you don't have to answer if you'd rather not.

I'm just researching into the Landover Baptist Church, I'm not going to attack you guys, its been done. I want to know a few things about your organisation more than your belief system at this point in time.

1. Which version of the KJV do you preach and read from? (1611 with 80 books, 1611 with 66 books, 1833 webster revision, ASV etc)

2. What is your affiliation with http://www.landoverbaptist.org/?

3. Do you (as a majority) believe these threads that state God hates [a certain country] and as such believe God hates the people from them.

4. How many 'True Christians' do you estimate there to be a. in the US and b. Worldwide?

Attack your beliefs? You've told us practically nothing about yourself other than you are from the UK and you "regard" yourself a Christian.

What you've done is walk into a stranger's home and questioned their choice of furniture.

This bit answers your rather weak enquiry about scripture. In fact all the answers to all your questions are in there.

Now, how about you come back in here lickety split after reading and learning and tell us about yourself such as how you feel about your country enabling women to teach and homosexuals to think they are not an abomination before God.

I only put that as from what I've seen on this forum if you aren't a True Christian (which I am not as of yet) you are a false Christian and the conversation seems to dwindle into that area. I wanted to focus more on my questions.

Ironically I go to a church called St Peters, my fav verse is Matthew 7:21-23, not sure how I came to find Jesus, I was brought up with him, one defining moment for me with Christ was when I was prayed for by someone and felt the Holy Spirit wash through my body, hasn't happened since but was a very moving and intense moment.

With regard to questioning your choice of furniture that analogy in this case is more like walking into a furniture store, you are preachers of this faith and I am asking for information.

This is fantastic I ask some pretty simple questions and suddenly I'm attacked with a barrage of questions like what do I think of women teaching in the UK and the UK's stance on gays.

1. Women teach in the USA, a lot, so what's the difference between our countries there.

2. The following states allow gay marriage Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, Washington, D.C. This is a much larger area than the UK and probably more populous. So again, I fail to see how the USA is any better/worse.

I thought it'd be quicker to ask you kind people instead of trawling through the internet to find the answers.

I would be so grateful if anyone could help me out and answer those questions because the links provided above only sort out whether or not you should be judging me for being of a different denomination of the same faith.

And you haven't even answered. It would help us to know you if you told us whether you are happy that women get to teach and that queers aren't treated like an abomination in England.

Ok an intro to me...

I think homosexuality is natural, to the extreme. I think women teaching is ducky despite Timothy 1:11-15 these ideas are archaic and akin to goat sacrifices, but thats just me, I'll hate your views. Personally I am a poor student at uni, I ride boys and hate Jesus.

I know people bash you guys a lot and I'm sorry my questions aren't interesting enough but I'd love the answers especially to no 2, 3 and 4

Well I've introduced myself a bit more above, you know I ride bikes etc, I also have a girlfriend (who loves Jesus too). I came onto this site to get a few answers so I can understand you better.

When your girlfriend reads the Bible, which passage she proffers is the sweetest? Do you like it better in a chair or standing?

Isn't this incredible, we are in the second page of this discussion and you are about to find out the deepest aspects of my relationship yet you won't answer my questions that aren't even about you. I'm not going to give up though so here you go:

I am not married as I can't afford that yet, we are very much in love but do not worry there is no sex before marriage. I'll ask her when I see her next what Bible passage she prefers. I am lost with your chair/standing question. And yes it is terrific and I am glad we both share that understanding .
