Hello, my name is Lance. I came here because a friend told me about this place. I read in the forums and decided that this should be a nice place to have debates with other Christians. As for my church, it is located in Oklahoma and it is a Baptist church. I was saved on August 17, 2003, and I do read the Bible and go to church frequently. I do not have a specific favorite verse. I do like the verse Proverbs 19:29, but I also like the verses of salvation, such as Romans 5:8. I use a King James Bible by the way, and not only read it, but also understand it. I went to Heartland Baptist Bible College in OKC for a semester but it came to my attention that God wanted me to be a layman, so now I go to a different college in Oklahoma. I am unmarried, and do not have a girlfriend at the time. I don't know if I want to have children in the future or not, since the times are as terrible as they are. I am a virgin as well, and plan to keep it until I get married.
Now, seeing as I have introduced myself, let's debate!

Ah, but good Pastor, you misunderstand me. My apologies for not making myself clear You see, I don't want to "flame" anyone. I just want a rational debate with fellow Christians. I understand I don't have any rights as well, because that's how it always is on forum websites. Also, I don't think I'll need to contact any Pastors, at any time, because I'm sure that through Christ, I can do anything, and that includes being a rational Christian debater. As for me being unsaved, you have that wrong, because I am saved, through faith, by the Grace of God. Is there anything I missed?

I don't know if I want to have children in the future or not, since the times are as terrible as they are.

It doesn't matter what you want, son. God says make sons. Daughters are okay too.

And why so eager to debate? This is a place of Christian fellowship. Have you come here merely to sow discord among Jesus' elect?

This makes absolutely no sense to me. What is there to debate? Everything is right there in plain American in the KJV Bible.

(Hebrews 4:12) "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

What IS the intent of your heart, friend?

I see what you mean about having children. I agree, it is The Lord's will to have children, and they are a good thing for a family, but I hear parents at my church talking about the way the world is and how worried they are for their kids' futures. But in the end, it is all in the hands of God, no? After all, the rapture could come tonight
And as for debating, I do not come to sow discord. I know those verses in Proverbs well and I make sure not to walk in that way. By "debate", I should probably say "discuss", but the word debate has more lively feel to it. And besides, did not Jesus debate with sinners and Publicans? I would think it beneficial to do all we can to learn about God and His Word while we live, and I personally believe that it is good to compare and contrast what we believe with each other to know the Truth.

I would think it beneficial to do all we can to learn about God and His Word while we live, and I personally believe that it is good to compare and contrast what we believe with each other to know the Truth.

By "debate", I should probably say "discuss".

I would suggest that you start by reading THIS section of the forum. There are hundreds of threads crammed full of True Christian(tm) wisdom.

I still don't really understand why this person is here.

He hasn't glorified a single piece of God's word or praised Him once.

Isaiah 55:5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

For example: heathens have no excuse if they haven't rushed to God by now - shout GLORY!
