    Hell bound.

Let me first tell you a little bit about myself.
My name is Cy, I'm 19 years old. I graduated high school with a 3.0 gpa, I would have gotten a higher gpa if the teachers didn't bore me. I am in college studying computer science, mainly programming. I currently maintain a 3.5 gpa. This also would be higher if I wasn't a full time student(35 hours per week) maintaining 30-35 hours (per week) on a part time job.

I was a christian for the majority of my life. I have read the majority of the bible, although I will admit that I have not read it all. Many things happened in my life that changed my view drastically. I have since converted to something more sound and of my liking.

I volunteer to give blood and strive to help those less fortunate. I try my hardest to maintain high standards that I set upon myself. My morals are wonderful and many of you have the same view as I do, but for different reasons.

I was recently talking to a friend who blatantly told me I'm going to hell for my beliefs.
Even though I try my hardest to be the best that I can be. It is not enough.

    Why?

Why are you here, and why do you dislike Jesus so much?
Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

You assume I dislike jesus. Yet I never state such a thing. I would like a sound conversation. Please do not put words in my mouth, or twist the meaning of what I say.

I don't go to church, but I have attended many different types with varying beliefs of the same god.

            I don't have a favorite bible verse.

            I have not found jesus.

Therefore the question about why you are here is a pertinent one.

As is the question of why you spit in the face of Jesus who temporarily died for you.

We're not here to justify ourselves to every wayward sinner who wanders in here. Now do you actually want to be saved or not?

If so, lurk more and read some of the excellent sermons on this very site and stop pestering us with daft questions. Come back when you want to praise Jesus.

You can spend your whole life saving cats from trees and helping old ladies cross the road. It will make NO difference. Accept Jesus as your personal savour or you will burn forever. Your friend is correct.

Your friend will be with you in hell also for associating with a heathen.

To be fair to his friend he did reprove him. Perhaps this false Christian had been lying to him and as soon as he found out he was a heathen he told him straight he was hell-bound and shunned him.

Heathens are quite sneaky and pretend to love God on a regular basis, alas.

I will live my life in a manner that makes me happy and that does not destroy life. I am just seeking understanding from those with faith. I ask why do you believe, you only answer that you do not wish to reply to daft questions.

The question is not silly. It deals with how you conduct interactions with others in your life. How you yourself deal with life. Many things can be derived from that simple question. Yet, you call it silly. I will let that be and continue on my path to understand why others believe. Since you don't want to answer I still leave the question out there for others.

If you are offended I apologize, I'm simply curious.

Hell is no joke either, this is for an eternity. You do not simply come out of hell as a believer, you don't come out at all.

                          How is that fair?

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Why do you need this spelling out to you any more than that?
You live with your belief then. I shall live with no regret and die a happy old man.

You didn't know you existed before you were born, same thing for death.
There no talking here, just remarks that make you feel better about your god and yourself. No questions or formal/informal debates. I have made a mistake thinking that you could think for yourselves. Yet you sit and quote the bible, taking every word of it on faith.
