As always, the KJV puts it best, Proverbs 14:16
Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

It's no wonder Jesus is getting ready to kill you. And you won't even have as long as you think on this earth. "I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land." (Deut. 30:18)

When you wind up a begrudging, hemorrhoid-infested old geezer spiraling toward Hell, don't say you weren't warned. "Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner." (Proverbs 11:31)

I am in college studying computer science, mainly programming. I currently maintain a 3.5 gpa. This also would be higher if I wasn't a full time student(35 hours per week) maintaining 30-35 hours (per week) on a part time job.

I was a christian for the majority of my life. I have read the majority of the bible, although I will admit that I have not read it all. Many things happened in my life that changed my view drastically. I have since converted to something more sound and of my liking.

I volunteer to give blood and strive to help those less fortunate. I try my hardest to maintain high standards that I set upon myself. My morals are wonderful and many of you have the same view as I do, but for different reasons.

I was recently talking to a friend who blatantly told me I'm going to hell for my beliefs.
Even though I try my hardest to be the best that I can be. It is not enough.

              Why?
It's apparent you put as much effort into seeking God as you do in the rest of your unmotivated life. Anyone who claims to be intelligent but can't manage better than a 3.5 GPA in pubic school (in programming, no less!) is sleepwalking. So what, you lay on a cot for 20 minutes to give blood - I see crackheads doing that at the plasma center for a few bucks every day; you don't get a Medal of Valor for it.

You can't even manage to finish reading the Bible - the most important piece of writing ever produced, but I'll bet you've finished plenty of comic books. The topper is that you've found some sort of cosmic debris to believe in that is "more to your liking." Exactly what has "liking" the truth got to do with acceptance of it? You seem to avoid the hard things in every aspect of your life. That will get you a cubicle and $35K/year in the here and now, and your own private flaming office in hell.

Man up, take a STAND, humble yourself before God, and start living for the Lord instead of sliming by on crumbs.

              Really, you are a marshmallow.
Leviticus 13:44 He is a leprous man, he is UNCLEAN: the priest shall pronounce him utterly UNCLEAN; his plague is in his head.

2 Kings 6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.

Clearly someone who has never read the Bible.

                            Brad, you are fooling yourself.

Psalm 5:5 "The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: Thou hatest all workers of iniquity."

Psalm 11:5 "The Lord trieth the righteous: But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth."

Proverbs 6:16-19 "These six things doth the Lord hate: Yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, 18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, Feet that be swift in running to mischief, ..."

The Truth makes it clear that God does not agree with your feel-goody ideas that you can do and believe whatever you want, and it's okay, because God loves you anyway.

Your idolatry, Brad, will keep you out of the Kingdom.

Galatians 5:19-21 "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

Psalm 16:4 "Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: Their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, Nor take up their names into my lips."

I urgently implore you to consider these Truths, and repent from your wickedness.

                            Peace be with you...

Yes, they always get it right don't they? How are they doing with purgatory and limbo? Do they exist this week or not? I haven't heard the latest infallible opinion.

What I particularly love about the Catholics is the way they decide that things they think are a tradition are true even though they aren't in the Bible and they clearly made them up.
