Amen, friend! Can you tell us a bit more about yourself? How old are you and where do you go to church? What's your favorite Bible verse? How did you go about getting Saved? That sort of thing.

      Hi Jim.

My name is Roger. I go to church here in the Valley at a friends home. We are all baptist and private. The Reverend (Bill Smith, he is married to my aunt) teaches the bible and nothing else JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY.

Funny thing is I was a real messed up kid. Hanging with the wrong crowd listening to devil music, watching the devils tv shows, and movies. I was not happy, depressed. Then something came over me and I had an urge to turn to the lord. I have never been happier. Life is not perfect but with the lord it is worth living to serve him and only him.

Sorry to double post, but I forgot my favorite bible verse. I have several. John 3:16 is a big one and probably most peoples favorite. But my favorite book is Revelations. It gives me something to look forward to, Jesus will return and destroy satan and all of his disgusting followers.

Hello, Roger. It's nice to see someone repent and find a road to Christ and salvation. It warms my heart.

So, do you have any kids or wives? Any hobbies? Feel free to say as much or as little as you want - we here at Landover just want to know you.

I prefer to look at John 3 in context always.

John 3:17-18 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 5:46,47 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Welcome Roger! It is very heart warming to here you are bent over on your knees and willing to accept the love of God powerful message.

What happened to make your realize that the only person that cares about you is Jesus? Was it a DWI where you killed a small child or was it a drug crazed act of depravity. These stories of realizing God wants to love you are always so beautiful.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Not to glorify just getting drunk and not driving, but I never drove after drinking or becoming intoxicating on any other substance.

My realization came when my friends mocked me as I hit rock bottom and wanted no more to do with me. These were people who I loved and still love, and hope they come to the lord.

Those same friends mocked me even more when I found the lord.

I found true love when I turned to the lord, thats when I realized everything else was irrelevant. Everything I lost, I got back when I turned to the lord. He has worked miracles in my life.

How can you possibly love those that mock little baby Jesus? I can certainly understand doing your best to show them the ways of Our Lord. You instead need to barely tolerate their existence and only communicate with them by using passages from the KJV to show them how wrong they are with every step of their despicable lives.

You seem like a fine fellow Roger, one that I would love to spend some indepth personal prayer time with, sharing Jesus love and compassion.

Psalm 139:19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
