Hello. I am "unsaved trash"

Hey everybody Obviously I'm new to this forum. Pastor Ezekiel refereed me to this part of the forum so I'm making my introduction.

I am an Atheist with very liberal leanings and always have been. I fully expect to be banned soon. However, I do find the basic idea behind a "God" and "Heaven" to be very alluring and am change my evil ways if I ever find a decent reason to believe in God.

I've gotta say though, isn't it the job of good Christians to do their best to convert the unsaved? How does insulting nonbelievers by labeling them as "trash" help this goal at all? I most certainly understand banning people for insulting forum members, but what if I were to try to have an honest debate about the existence of God? I'd be banned! How can you convert people who are TRYING to understand if you ban them?

Well firstly this isn't a debate forum. You wouldn't walk into you local Church and start shouting about your disbelief so you must show respect here.

We do not reject atheists from the forum. As long as they know their place and stay civil. Unfortunately since they have no moral compass they soon start to show their real side. We then get blasphemy, abuse and potty mouthism. Then they get banned. As long as atheists are here to praise Jesus they are more than welcome.

Update, Just after I typed this I saw this message from an atheist who has decided to leave. He tried to argue with us but he lost on every level. In the end true to form he insulted us because he realised that we are superior to him both morally and intellectually. It's very sad really.

And then since there is no heaven, you will be in an eternal sleep and mankind will be so much better off. In fact, this goes for everyone on this website. Go kill yourself, I'm dead serious. Nonsense, we don't go around banning people willy-nilly - we're the friendliest people you'll ever meet online! As long as you don't start acting all nasty and such there will be no banning.

I suggest you begin by acquiring a copy of the KJV Bible and reading it cover to cover. We're here to answer any questions you have.

It's true that many people are banned, BUT if you can provide a single instance where that person didn't BLATANTLY violate one (or more) well-defined rules, I will gladly donate $1,000 to the anti-Jesus charity of your choice.

If you look around you will find many catlicks, pastafarians, joos, etc. How do they stay? They follow the rules. Plus, they are nice to have around to show the sharp disparity between good clean Christian folks and pathetic I'll-mannered satanists.

Agreed. Trash goes into a furnace. Jesus will throw the unsaved into a furnace so 'trash' is the correct word.

Think about what you are saying for a second. You want us to pretend that the people who burn in Hell for all eternity in infinite anguish without pause for the crime of doubt and respecting evidence are being unfairly treated by God in this regard? How dare you! That is blasphemy!

Wow. I am pleasantly surprised by that amount of friendly replies my introduction has received. I honestly expected to be banned when I logged on. Unfortunately there are too many replies and I won't be able to respond directly to each.

The most common response I seem to have gotten is that either I want you all to "pretend" to view the unsaved differently. This could not be farther from the truth. If you truly believe something, you MUST stand behind it completely. I also believe that if you believe in any religion, you do NOT get to pick and choose what rules suit you best.

If I were a believer I UNDOUBTEDLY would consider everybody in hell to be worth of at LEAST the word "trash". But as it stands right now I am still very much alive and NOT in hell which means that I still very well could end up being saved.

The whole reason I'm here in the first place is to understand. I openly admit that there are MANY things that I don't understand. But I do now understand that this isn't a debate forum and that as a non-believer I can't post outside the "introductions" thread. I have a KJV bible and have read various parts of it in the past. Even as an Atheist I feel it's important to own a bible. My question now to you all is where would a good place to "debate" (or really do anything besides just introduce myself) be?

The Atheist you speak of is clearly an ignorant jerk. Wishing such horrible things upon ANYBODY is just mean. It may be that us Atheists are indeed the ones who are wrong, I'm willing to accept that possibility and challenge my beliefs. But not all of us are completely close minded. Please don't judge all of us based off a small handful.

Also, if God hates me and you hate me, why in the world would you ever want to help me by trying to save me? And for the record, despite the fact that you hate me, I don't hate you. I'm a bit miffed at you for hating me but you know what? I forgive you for hating me.
