  • I'm new here

I am a christian, there's no doubt in that. I live in Sweden and I found Jesus at a Bible camp. My teacher was realy inspiring and he taught me how to live correctly by the Bible.

Though I'm a little unsure about some of the messages in the holy Bible. There seems to be a lot written about how man is superior to woman, and therefor the woman is weaker and not as worthy as the man? Should i follow this and treat man in a better way then i treat woman?

What are you afraid of, Nanook? If you're afraid of Jesus killing you and sending you to hell, then you're smarter than the average eskimo.

The short answer is yes, as the Holy Bible tells us.

1 Timothy 2:12 "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."

This does NOT mean we are to mistreat the lesser sex. But we are commanded to keep them in their roles as intended by God.

Tell us some more about yourself. Jesus has brought you to us on this evening of one of the most Godly holidays in His country for a reason. Are you troubled by a filthy personal sin? We can help.

        In Christ
Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Yes that's true but after I read the Holy Bible, I figured God created us, why would he choose to make the woman weaker? But then again, who am I to questioning the words of the Lord, haha. Stupid of me..

I work most of my time, to be able to support my family, and on my spare time i spend a lot of time in chuch, praying, with my children. I do that because I hope one day, they will experience the same thing as I did when I was a kid.

If it is in the bible, you MUST follow it. It says so right here in the Bible:

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

Deuteronomy 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: qthou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

Proverbs 30:5-6 Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, Lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Galatians 1:9-10 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

It's right there in plain English in the Bible. If this doesn't prove that you have to follow everything in the Bible then something must be wrong with you

              Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Did I wrong you for seeking a word of advice from my fellow Christians? Allthough I do understand what you are saying, it's just that I love my wife and I couldnt tell if I were to treat her as i treat my kids, by some times giving them a taste of my backhand, which I think is truly nescessary when teaching them. Thank you for your advice Eternal flame!

Welcome friend! How many sons has God been able to express from your wifes womb?

I have two boys, fortunately. When my wife was pregnant the first time i prayed to God asking him not to give me a daughter. And, as he usually does, he answered my prayers. After all that I've read in the Bible I was afraid that if I had daughters some actions perhaps were need to be taken.

That's because men ARE superior to women. How do we know? The Bible tells us so.
