If one church teaches there is Purgatory, and another teaches there is not Purgatory, which one, if either, is correct?

Many people have life-changing experiences and come to completely different conclusions about the nature of God and whether He even exists.

"5+5=10" and "2*5=10" are different ways of saying the same thing, so they can both be true. "Purgatory exists" and "Purgatory does not exist" are ways of saying the exact opposite things, which cannot both be true.

Sort of, but then it would come down to your belief, and again how you view things to come to that conclusion.

God doesn't simultaneously think all queers should be killed and we should allow them to get married.

It's one or the other and the infallible word of God says you are wrong.
