  • Is This The Complete Law of God's Salvation?

    Luke, Chapter 10

25: And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

26: He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

27: And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

28: And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

Isaiah 34:6 The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.

John 5:46,47 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Well, that's the short answer, Brother!

The long answer is, as we True Christians™ know, "Yes, with a but".

You must love God, yes. But you must SHOW this love by obeying His Commands.

ALL of them. ALL of the time.

      For as Jesus also said:

      Matthew 5:17-20

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Are heaven and earth still here? Hmm, I believe so. That means the law is still entirely in force.

Does your righteousness exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees? It doesn't if you're living a life of sin.

Why isn't it OK to sin and expect God to forgive you? Easy.

If you love your husband, do you steal from his wallet and have sex with his co-workers behind his back? Of course not.

If you love him, do you do these things, get caught, and say "gee, I'm sorry" all while planning to do it again? NO!

So why do you think you can treat God any differently? You insult Him by so doing.

Do not cuckold the Lord your God.

      Luke 6:46

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

John 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Sounds like vain blathering to me. You know Jesus loves you? You Know he loves you so? Because some Sunday School song told you so?

Oh and what does the Bible say about repetitive prayer (chanting)?

Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
PROOF: Atheists are too stupid to understand the Bible!

Proverbs 13:24(KJV): "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes."

Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
