  • Hi Hi

Hi everyone... I'm new here, and I came because I need help! It is urgent... I am having second thoughts on whether god exists...

    Re: Hi Hi

Just to clarify, I am a Christian, but there has been so much madness in the world lately, I am wondering if God could truly create such a mess.
Also, how would I go about moving to Freehold?

      Re: Hi Hi

What makes you think He doesn't exist? You can see evidence of His Work everywhere you look.

Where do you go to church? I'll call your pastor and tell him he's doing a terrible job.

      Yours in Christ,

      Z. Smyth

        Re: Hi Hi

Well it's hard to explain... Deep down... I know that he must exist... But why would he create the world as he did? There are so many evil people, and God is so nice... How could he create such evil?
No need to call, I have quit my church for that reason and I am looking for a new one to call my own.

This is not the worst introductory thread I've ever seen, but it's certainly not the best. Tell us, which Bible verse most inflames you with love for the Lord?

Also, how many times have you impregnated your wife, and is your SUV a Ford or a Chevy?

Well there are so many good ones, but one of my favorites has got to be:

Isaiah 54:10- Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Sadly, my wife left me 3 years ago, but in our 6 years together, I fathered 4 children.

And I have a chevy suburban

Can someone please edit this to say what it is supposed to say? I was trying to type it without checking the exact wording, but it turns out I am tired and don't remember properly, and from what I can gather, you cannot edit your own posts?

He creates good AND evil. I'm surprised your former pastor never went over this with you.

(Isaiah 45:7) "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."

Why do you need to question God about His actions?

Isn't that a little arrogant? Follow His commandments or burn forever. Do you seriously need to look deeper than that?

Isaiah 34:6 The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.

John 5:46,47 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Great a fine proud American vehicle you drive. Not to sound invasive but we are in fellowship here, what was the reason you and your wife parted? And your kids are not bastard children are they? Did you take custody of your fruit of your loins?

Chevy Suburbans are a little small for my tastes, but certainly fine vehicles! I'd like to get one and put a cow-catcher on it for all the pedestrians in San Francisco who arrogantly step off the sidewalk without first checking to see if a car's coming.

                        Why do you hate Jesus?

You don't even capitalize God's Holy Pronouns. And you have never once read the Bible, since you think God is "so nice".
Do you think it is "so nice" to drown all humans, and animals, even unborn babies and bunny rabbits, because the humans didn't obey you? (Genesis)

Do you think it is "so nice" to order Moses to slaughter a tribe who decided to worship a false god instead (except for their virgin girls, who were to be kept as sex slaves)? (Numbers)

Do you think it is "so nice" for Jesus to return and slaughter 1/3 of all mankind? (Revelation)

Do you think it is "so nice" for God to resurrect the unknowing dead at Judgment, all so He can torture them in His Lake of Fire for all eternity? (Revelation)
Do you really think you're fooling anyone with your lies about being a Christian? Why not just tell us the truth?

Lies make Jesus very, very angry.
                        Bible boring? Nonsense!

Oh and to answer an earlier question... My wife left me because she was offered a job in Los Angeles, and I just couldn't move there.

I apologize for not capitalizing "He and Him, etc." I am a bit of a lazy typer and half the time i don't even capitalize "I", but from now on I will try harder.

And I guess you have shown me that God is not so nice. If I don't follow Him to the letter, I may end up dead, so I'll have to be a lot more careful. I feel like I am the most enlightened I have been in many years.

Have you not heard of Hell?

After a few centuries in God's Lake of Fire, being burned alive but unable to escape or even to die, you will wish you were dead.
