  • There is hope for me

I come here as a sinner, lost in a jungle of depravity, who finally saw the light of salvation. I feel as if this is my second chance and in order to earn the right be by your side at the day of judgement I must first prove my value.

I'm not american by birth but a true american by heart and although I'm currently walking "through the valley of the shadows of death" I forgot my savior and was lost but by your example I remembered how much time I lost searching for an answer on the Internet when all I needed was to pray.

For this I thank you and with hopes that you'll accept me as a true Christian I include you all in my prayers till Kingdom© come.

Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus.

Isaiah 34:6 The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.

John 5:46,47 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Re: There is hope for me

As a lost sheep I belong to no herd but I'm already looking for one to join just as soon as I get my American work visa.

      Favorite Bible verse:
"Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the cruel. " (1 Peter 2:18)
I believe that this teaches that GOD approved of slavery. Not because some races are inferior but because one was superior to them all as was blessed by Him.

I saw the light as I was looking for places to spend my vacations in a worthy manner, spreading the word of salvation to the unrepentant and I confess I was thinking of going to San Francisco in June to teach the word of our Lord to the homo community but when I saw the review of one of your members (http://www.landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?t=65005) of what I now consider one of the countries in most need of salvation (besides muslin countries) I realized I had finally found my place, a community full of like minded individuals with true beliefs and blessed opinions, a place where I can express my individuality and be accepted as an equal.

Friend, I must confess I'm a mite confused by all this. When you say you're walking through the valley of the shadow of death, I take it you mean this as a metaphor for walking through the desert in the dead of night as you illegally cross into the US from Mexico, yes?

I didn't know they had Internet out there in the desert. This modern world never ceases to amaze.

I can understand your frustration living in a Godless place like Lisbon but I would suggest the following course of action.

I see you understand my penance but I rejoice for this arduous task.
