  • Hello!

Hi there, my name is Victoria!
I am a Canadian Baptist, living in the cold cold north, surrounded by Canadian liberalists and hippies. Ugh.
I was born and raised by a Baptist family here in Canada, where my pa taught me to obey and study the bible, and my mama taught me how to bake the most delicious pies for my future husband.
I did find that husband through our Church, and we have been faithfully together for just over a year.

I hope to learn how to be a truly True Christian here!

I hope to hear from some of you soon!
    Proverbs 6
[16] These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
[17] A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
[18] An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
[19] A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

    Hello Victoria!

What Bible verse do you recite in your head as you are presenting your pie to your husband?

    Yours in Christ,

      Re: Hello!

      Ooh, strike me now.
I regretfully say I did not think of a Bible verse the last time I baked Morgan his favorite pie.
      What do you suggest, Zechariah?

I've heard my wife say this one as I sample her pie:

(Ephesians 5:22) "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord."

            Re: Hello!

Oh man, I can't do this.
Two posts in and I'm done.

You guys are pretty darn nice, though.

I am definitely not a Baptist. You guys are great for being strong in this cruel and un-believing world, and I say that truthfully. By the right and holy Bible, I am going to burn in Hell.

I am a proud Canadian female, 19, and I was baptized Roman Catholic.
I do not identify as Roman Catholic. I thank the loving Universe for all the things I experience in my life. And life is beautiful.
One thing I cannot join the Baptist church for is choice as a woman. I am a stubborn girl, and for the amount of painful discipline I had recieved as a child, I must be entirely too headstrong. I cannot fathom a world where I am forced to sacrifice a happy and healty career to serve my husband. I cannot fathom being forced to create children. I lack the ability to tell a person that their personal belief is wrong... I would not appreciate being told I am wrong, so I imagine they must not appreciate it either.
I must be too tolerant as a Canadian...
This post was about me though. I have nothing entirely against your beliefs.

            I'm sorry, guys.

I have my life, and you have yours to live your way. I hope you can understand and respect that.

Oh dear, another victim of feminism.

You see, being forced to create children and submit to a husband may not appeal to your flesh for the next 60 or 70 years, but you should be looking towards eternity, not today or tomorrow. Think of it like a really looong root canal. It may be painful now, and for the next handful of decades, but it's for your own good.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Thank you, Mary. I do see what you mean.

Because I am not a Baptist truthfully, I do have a few questions that were not answered in the hour I spent browsing the forums.
I read a version of the Bible a few years ago, when I was trying to educate myself on different viewpoints of the world, and I don't recall reading about why women are to serve men.
                Could you tell me why?

Because God tells them to in the Bible. Eve was made for Adam as a helpmeet, establishing a relationship that served everyone just fine until Gloria Steinem, the Beatles, LSD, etc. entered the picture.

Stick around and read some: you just may find yourself agreeing with us that the Message of Jesus Christ is meant to be seen by everyone!

                    Could you tell me why?
Because God created us very specifically to do so. Consider God's own words:

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
                    Genesis 2:18

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
                    Exodus 20:17

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
                    1st Corinthians 11:3

For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
                    1st Corinthians 11:8-9

Do you see? We are created to be in subservience to men, to be the treasure/property of our fathers and then husbands. There's simply no denying it, even if it doesn't bring pleasure to the flesh.

You... You mean you were faking being a True Christian to mock God? How awful!

The answer to why we say anything is "because God says so". I can understand why you might have been brought up to think the Earth might start spinning if you ever read a Bible and stopped listening to those priests who want you to have a son they can fiddle with. Papists don't like it because it contradicts just about all their tradition.

May I add a word or two, dear?
                          The Bible says this:
                          Ephesians 5:22
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

All you have to know is in the Bible, dear.
Why women are to serve men? Because the Bible tells us so. See? As easy as pie! You do not have to think! If you wanna be a godly woman, you will not have time to think at all! Believe me, been there, done that!

                          Cheers!

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule of worshiping satan and spreading your legs for anyone with a dollar to post this hateful message. The Holy Bible tells us that we are actually Blessed by your persecution! Thanks for proving that we're right.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Enjoy hell. I know that Jesus and I can't wait to watch you burn in hell for all eternity. Oh, how we'll laugh at you as you scream in agony! Shout Glory!!
