    A passage from revelation?
    That's your ammunition?

You're resorting to the end of the world to prove to me that God does not love all of His children. It seems to me that you only acknowledge the righteous, condemning, fearsome side of our Lord. He gave His only son for us. What more of an expression of love do you need?
Ammunition? It's the word of our Lord. He gave His only son so you had a big fat reminder to do God's will or burn forever but you just want to ignore that.
    John 3:16-21
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Sir, under what circumstances did you come to accept God in your life?

I read the Bible and saw God for what He is and not for what other people with big mouths and their own opinions thought He was. I then realised they dreamed up their own God inside their heads, called themselves priests and made up things that fit their own desires and picked bits of scripture that suited those desires and discarded the rest.

On that day I realised that Catholics are not Christians.

At least we agree on one thing.

My mother force fed me Catholicism from a young age, and i grew to detest it. In high school i distanced myself from her and did some Bible studying on my own. It is this reason why i don't listen to any one source and am more open minded about Christianity. If people can be as twisted with it as the Catholics, then I'm never putting all my eggs in one basket again.

So when you studied the Bible did you actually read it or did you read what other people wrote about selected bits of it? You see, the internet is full of such nonsense and by and large it's written by fluffy woo woo heads incapable of quoting anything but Matthew 7:1 out of Matthew 7 and ignoring such gems as
            Matthew 7:24-27
24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Try reading it again. Never mind what fluffy people with their own opinions think. Read it!

Shut down this web site so we cannot be influencing you. Go and read it. Alone.

Every one of us True Christians read the Bible independently and came to the same conclusion about the nature and reality of God and the validity and unchanging nature of His word. We each realised the extent to which the Bible does not contradict itself and is a perfect and unambiguous record of God's deeds and will. Only then did we find each other and the wonder that was in our hearts knows no bounds.

Come back when you have done so and tell us we don't believe in the real God. Come and tell us we are wrong about the real nature of His love for us.

Then wonder why those Bible class people didn't want to let you out of their sight or stop trying to tell you what they thought of His word.

My attitude is moderate at best. Seeing both sides of a matter does not make me your opposite. When most people speak of the commandments, they speak of the 10 commandments of the old testament that Moses was given by god on two tablets. I was referring to which of those commandments i had broken.

Pastor, i would like to think that you are praying for my soul, but your words convince me that you simply don't care what becomes of me. I honestly can't blame you considering the things I said and my sarcastic attitude toward you especially. I was not searching for hostility when I came here, but man did I find it.

Honestly, I never questioned your belief in God. I did question the way you treat other people. Most of our arguments were over my personal opinions that have been developed over a not so gifted life. Everyone is a product of how they were raised, who they were raised with/by, and the decisions they make. I'm glad that our hostility is gone. I'll crack the good book and get back to you.

                      Honestly.
People come here all the time professing 'how good a Christian' they are yet do not follow the Word of God as written in the KJV Bible.
That is like claiming to be a magnificent fighter pilot and having never even seen a plane.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

                        "Jesus does not hate anyone."

That's not true. God hates the sin AND the sinner, and Jesus is God (John 10:30 I and my Father are one.).

Lev 20:23 And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

Hosea 9:15 All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.
Please read the WHOLE Bible before it's too late.

Before you complain about the the fact that the verses I cited were from the Old Testament, as if that somehow makes them worthless, consider this:

In the Old Testament, it says that God hates "all workers of iniquity" (Ps 5:5).

In the New Testament, what does Jesus say that he is going to do to these workers of iniquity? Is he going to love them? Is he going to be their pal, and tell them that it's ok to be themselves? Let's see...

Matt 13:41-42 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
I pray that you have found this enlightening.

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Matthew 7:1 is a fine verse, especially when taken in context with the verses that follow, such as Matthew 7:2 and Matthew 7:3. If you've read the KJV Bible (The Word of God in the language He intended - American), then surely you're also familiar with Leviticus 15:19. In judging you, Brother RP is doing his Christian Duty.

They tried to get him (even his own mother), but he resisted.

He even read some of the Bible for himself.

Now he's promising to read the WHOLE THING (2 books a day, you'll be done in a month). He'll then know for himself the real God of the Bible (Jealous, judgemental, merciless and terrifying), not Sunday school fairy tales about some dude living in the clouds who loves each and every one of us exactly as we are because that's the way He made us, all the little children of the world.

Looking forward to hearing his thoughts after!

34Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

35And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

But he once asked me if the Joseph who was Jesus's father from the bible was the same one had a coat of many colours and if so why a messiah wouldn't have got his own old dad some decent kit. So you know....not much guidance there is it?
