    Hello from Vienna !

    Hello my name is Steve, im trying to find my way to jesus and some inspiration through your Forums.

    Im 20 years old and im from Vienna. My english isnt the best, excuse me please. But i can understand you perfectly.

    I just started reading the Bible and i really like it!

    favorite verse so far:

    "If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town.They shall say to the elders, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a profligate and a drunkard."Then all the men of his town shall stone him to death"

      Welcome Steve. I know what it is like in Vienna, my cousin lives there. The town is full of foreigners and God haters. It is because of all the embassies in Washington DC. Is your home near the DC Metro?
      Often, my cousin drives south a ways to get out of the DC area to be among proper God loving people. Doesn't 'The Beltway' have a nice ring to it?

        Yeah Sacher Torte (torte = cake ) is awesome. (and now that youve mentioned it.. i kinda want one hehe)

        Is your home near the DC Metro?
        I live next to the Prater which is an amusement park.




        And no i dont have a wife (yet) or kids. (if you meant that with your question).

          Tell me friend, why have you seen it fit to not be married. Every day you wait, you are making Gods Army weaker. By the time I was 20, I had four or five children. A couple of the daughters died I think. But my sons went on, were married by the ripe only ages of 17 and 18. My oldest boy is just becoming a great great grandfather this April, given the size of the belly on his wife. You have to remember, your days on Earth are numbered and God will judge you on the number of sons you have provided for Him.

            That is a good verse, cuz it let's kids know that they should be good and listen to their parents!

              Hmmm...

              This is a very good choice of verse. KJV only here, friend, but I may have got you all wrong when you shot off at the mouth a bit in another thread. Children should be killed if they don't respond to beatings if God's law is to be followed to the letter. Maybe our politicians will one day make good on their promises to follow God's word.

              What other things about Jesus make you realise only His word is the one word of Truth(R)?

                  Aren't those called Leader Hoses or something? I never got the logic of shorts that needed suspenders on them. Why not just get shorts that fit and don't fall down in the first place?

                      TheLordSavedMe - We call them "Wiener Wurst" haha

                      Roberta - Hehe they are called "Leder Hosen". We dont wear them in vienna, but some people do in the mountain area of austria.. and yeah its a tradition to come in Lederhosen to our Oktoberfests .

                      Professor Bessemer - i think thats a sado maso thing.. has nothing to do with austrian tradition (gay sex i mean )

                        Well friend, have you spoken to the Church elders? I've had a few sons that were getting on, must of been 19 or so that just could not 'find a wife'. A few dinners with the leaders of the Church provided a list of girls unspoken for. I interviewed each girl and their parents, primarily the mothers (girls always turn in to mothers) at great length. A payment by the girls father of the requisite 50 shekels and we had a marriage. That simple. Do not get all caught up in this 'love' bull-hooky. The girl will learn over time to respect her husband. I assume you are a patient man.

                          No i have never spoken with a church elder about that topic. But now that you say it... i'm gonna give it a try! Tomorrow!

                          Its really awesome. Im registred for maybe 3 Hours and ive gotten so much good advice already.
