Hi,

Been a lurker for a little while and think it is now time to contribute to this forum. I am having a bit of trouble believing in the concept of there being a single bloke that built the universe.
And Jesus is a bit far fetched but willing to listen to any arguments in favour. And yes, that's 'favour' with a 'u' since that's how it's spelt correctly. Like colour.

If you have been 'luring' (which sounds pretty sick), what makes you think a community (for that is what it is) that believes in every thing the Bible (KJV1611) says cares about what you believe? This is not debate, it's not discourse, it's not mental masturbation (whatever that means).

It is about doing exactly what the Bible (KJV1611) says: all the time, for ever.

Can you do that?

My issue here is that I find it much more believable that there are other life-forms in the universe than earth being the sole planet containing any life at all. I've tried to converse with friends but they are sure of the opposite. Hense my lurking on the forum.

Then you will burn in Hell. The idea that the Earth is a planet is a scientific heresy. Planets are little lights in the firmament that move about. This is all that distinguishes them from the other little lights that are called stars.

If you read your Bible properly you would know this.

I'm obviously at a misunderstanding. I was under the impression that this forum, well, in fact God, was to embrase all living life forms. Why should I burn in Hell if I believe that there are life forms that live outside of Earth. If the bible actually supports my beliefs then I admit this is my fault as I thought the bible was full of stories of talking bushes and the misadventures of the sadly departed Nicholas Cage.

The only real aliens are not tall thin and grey, they are short, orangey brown and looking for work, any kind of work. Our brothers in the states call them 'beaners'. We call them slav or sklep.

I pray that you let jesus enter you, the fact you're here gives hope that you may be worthy of salvation despite the obvious indicators to the contrary.

Where would these life forms live?

Genesis 1:14-19
14And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Stars are lights in the firmament. The firmament is a barrier to keep the waters outside the firmament from the waters under the firmament that rest on the Earth.

Genesis 1:6-8
6And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

It's the very first bit of the Bible so there's not really any excuse for you to be getting the nature of the universe so very wrong.

There are no other worlds. There are only lights in the firmament. Science fiction is not real; Star Trek is made up. Only God is real and He made you in His image yet you spit in His face and substitute fiction for Biblical fact in your rudeness.
