Well you see my parents are atheists so i secretly attended a small youth group that showed me this forum which brought me to my senses, and it's very hard to just choose one bible verse i'll have to think on my favorite for a bit.

I eventually got permission from my father but he was very angry and if i have to choose a bible verse it was Leviticus 18:22 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." I read it over and over again and prayed every night for 4 hours and i came to my senses.

PRAISE JESUS that you came to him! There is much rejoicing in HEAVEN, especially since you were able to come out of that sin ridden lifestyle!!!!!

I want to point out that it's not a religion, it's a RELATIONSHIP. Religion is of man, a RELATIONSHIP is of GOD. I also hope that you informed your coach of your past sinful choices and that he's arranged for you to shower seperately so you don't backslide.

Please give us your testimony and tell us how JESUS saved you from the wretched lifestyle choice you made. Also, what are you doing to try to bring your parents to GOD? Are you using football to help WITNESS?

I definately told my coach all though he still has me shower with the others he said if I am to backslide I will be kicked off the team and I certainly dont want that to happen. I've tried to save my parents repeated times and the last time I did which was about 5 minutes ago I was punched in the face and spanked. My sisters have accepted this faith and are also trying to save my parents. My father has threatened to take me off the football team though. I dont think he will do it though I believe it is the will of the LORD i play football.

It could very well be the will of GOD that you do! If you go pro and are good, you could be as famous and influential as TIM TEBOW. If you tell people that you used to be a gay, then they will know that it is possible to come out of that lifestyle choice and you are proof of it. JESUS can help anyone!! People aren't born that way, that makes no sense! GOD made us the way we are born and why would he make any of us born a gay??? Athiests don't have any sense of logic at all.

You could be a more powerful witness for the LORD than TIM TEBOW is! Just make sure that you don't cry when you lose though, because people will see it and think you have backslid and gone back to being a gay. Not that TIM TEBOW is one, I never meant it to come out that way! But if they know you used to be one, they may think you went back to being one if you did cry in public.

Wonderful! As OliveOilMom points out, you could be a powerful witness if you "come out Straight" as an ex-gay for Jesus! And the likelihood of being gang-raped in the showers after a game increases only slightly unless you're a quarterback. I understand it's traditional for the winning team to gang-rape the losing team's quarterback.
