    Discipline

Friends, I have made a decision which I would like to share with you.

For the last 10 or so years I have been wandering in the dark and although Jesus was by my side I refused to take his hand, I went from one problem to another and ever so slowly me faith began to waiver until I thought that I could not have Jesus in my life again, well guess what, he is here standing beside me. I cannot remember the last time that I have felt this peacful and content with myself.

One of the sins that I had was the fact that I was working on the rest day but I have now made amends to that, I have contacted my company and told them that due to conflict with my faith I could no longer work on that day, needless to say they were not happy but they will just have to get used to it, after all Jesus sacrificed much more for us than simply a days employment.

My spouse has never understood what it is like to have Jesus by your side and she does not understand why I am acting like this. (Whatever that means), now that my eyes have once again been opened I have seen that for the past 10 years she has had the same say in matters that I have, this is my fault as I allowed her to have an opinion in matters that did not concern her and I am ashamed to say that I have let her opinions sometimes cloud my judgments well no more, tonight it will be a time for my marriage to either be stronger than it ever has or it is time for her to move out, but she will be disciplined one way or the other. I can actually feel the rage build up in me as I type this, Is this normal. ?

Ok friends I will let you know how I get on.

P.S, I have started to read the KJV and can say that it is like a shining star on my dark days.

Why are you treating your wife in this way? Are you some sort of sexist?

No Sir I am not, However I cannot let her continue to dominate our marriage, only yesterday was she telling me that to try and find my faith again was a foolhardy quest and that it may harm our relationship, my relationship with Jesus is much more important to me than that of a spouse, do not get me wrong I love my wife and I would never harm her in any way, and before you ask, no I do not feel that discipline is harmful.

        Re: Discipline

Why should you be angry with your wife?

She behaves the way she does because you have allowed it. You have trained her to dominate you by acquiescing to her demands.

You will now need to retrain her. It is possible that she will be unwilling to be retrained; if that is the case, you may need to divorce her. Fortunately, the Bible permits this:

        1 Corinthians 7:12-15

12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

Why should you not listen to your wife as an equal partner? What is your justification? We're not a marriage guidance service.

Still yammering about waffeling at the feet of Jesus?

Friend, we can only help those that help themselves. Until you read the KJV Bible, live by the words within and give to the Church, there is little we can do for you. Like the Homer whose mouth engulfs the genitalia of another man, God will not listen until you pay attention to Him. You cannot just give Him lip service and expect He will stand at attention for you.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
