    Hello there

Hello, it is good to see a community like this in the Internet. I live in Portugal, and my church is Catholic. It seems that this community is intolerant of Catholics, at least in my point of view. Can I still be part of this forums while still being Catholic? Have a good day,

Well, isn't the Catholic Church part of Christianity? Can you tell me something to show that they are not true Christians? It is because I lived my whole life as a Catholic, and I am not getting what are you talking about.

Yes, I am aware that Catholics have a lot of misconceptions about many things about Chistrianity, but I am not here to debate in the Catholic's behalf. I just want to participate in this forums, if you can respect that. Thank you.

                That is a good start.

Have you heard the Good News about Jesus Christ?

He temporarily died on the cross for our sins so that mass murderers could go to Heaven (John 3:16) and receive eternal reward but all doubters and skeptics would burn in Hell (John 3:18) for all eternity.

You should really consider accepting Him into your heart and repenting of anal sex.

                  Re: Hello there

I am already converted in Christianity, but not on the Catholic's point of view. I try to follow on what God and Jesus tolds us to do, and not believe in whatever the Catholic Church messed up. To my family, I am still a Catholic, but I am losing touch with the Church, and I want to much rather get away from it.

"I will say of the LORD: He is my God, my refuge and my fortress, and trust."

(The chapter of this sentence I know what it is, but I don't know how it is written in English)

I always loved this part of the Bible, it always bring me hope that God will be my refuge and my fortress when bad things happen to me.

Psalm 91:2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

It's marvellous. And what happens to those who do not trust in the Lord? Aaah... sweet vengeance and retribution.
                        Judges 2:17-23
17And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the LORD; but they did not so. 18And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them. 19And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way. 20And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice; 21I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died: 22That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not. 23Therefore the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.

Sounds a lot like Psalm 91:2, but you must be using some strange Catholic version. Properly it should read:

                          Psalm 91:2
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Oh, it is because I have translated the 91:2 from Portuguese to English, so it sounds weird, I know, thanks for correcting me in there.
