Hi.
My full name is Mary-Luke Lauren St. David, but I just go by Lauren.
I read through a few posts on here, and it seems different from other church sites I've been to (whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is still debatable), so I decided to register.
This being the “Introduction” section, I should say a little about myself. Well, for starters, I was born and raised in a Catholic family (hence the name “Mary-Luke” – my aunt on my mother’s side is a catholic nun somewhere in Michigan or something, and I was named after her), I went through the whole “christening” process when I was a baby, but refused the confirmation when I was older. I believed (and still believe) in God and Jesus and all that, but I just distrust any formal “church” settings. My parents were pissed at me, but what can they do? It’s my own life. After my refusal on that part (and several tries to get me “exorcised”, which was interesting), they took me out of the Catholic school system and put me in public school. I was the only one of my siblings in the public school system.
That’s the brief version of my background. What else can I say about myself? I like to dance. And I like music. My singing is mediocre at best, but I still sing. I like art, like drawing and all that. I’m not a very good painter, but I do what I can with what I have. I don’t really watch a lot of tv, because nowadays it’s all trashy “reality” shows, advertisements for things no one really needs, and severely depressing news stories. I don’t have a facebook account. I used to a couple years ago, but it got boring really fast and my account kept getting hacked anyway, so I just deleted it. Same with twitter.
I’m not entirely sure what else I can say about myself, so I guess I’ll just end this here.
