Hello, I am an Atheist. I have been urged repeatedly to make an introduction post. So here I am!

I live in Oklahoma, part of the bible belt states. And believe you me, it is horrible. I work at a farm store and have to hear nothing but God referencing country songs all day.

I have been an atheist since birth, I remember being in bible school at an early age and trying to tell the teacher that the earth being created in 7 days is impossible.

Also the earth IS round, and it is not 5000 years old or anywhere close to that low of a number. These are called facts. They are not up for debate.

You people disgust me, all the hate and lies... treating your women like slaves. You guys need to take a chill pill and just enjoy life.

You make me sick. You don't know how lucky you are to live in the bible belt. I live in the UK and don't have the religious freedom to talk about the glory of God. When I speak of His creation and how He sent Himself down to be a sacrifice to pay for the sins of one man all I get is mocked. When I tell fags in the street that they are a hellbound abomination I am the one who is seen to be in the wrong. I am persecuted by social services who ask about rod marks on my children's back. When I rebuke sluts with skirts above the knee I have their fathers knocking on my door. I get persecuted for putting creationist leaflets in science classrooms.

Freedom does not exist here. Secular thought restricts freedom. It is like living in North Korea (another bunch of atheists).

You don't know how lucky you are and should count the blessings God gave you,

First, you are not an atheist; you are a theist in denial. As Ray Comfort would say, God doesn't believe in atheists. Romans 1:18-20 reads: "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse." Deep down you know God exists, but you hold, or suppress, the truth in unrighteousness. God has revealed himself to you through creation. If you doubt me, just take a look at the Creation Science forum. The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against you. You are without excuse.

Oh, I'm sorry. Did we and the Christians where you live offend you? I'm so sorry, but to avoid this ever happening again, try leaving Oklahoma and heading to a place way north called Russia.

There, communism is in full swing and you can find plenty of corrupt Stroganoff-eaters who love to burn down churches and rape women simply because there is no God to stop them. You'll really feel at home in Russia.

You, sir, are the problem in this great country. We enjoy living life for The Lord Almighty, and praising Him. Also, we have a God Given Authority over our women, and we exert that as men are superior beings even in the Eyes of the Lord. And as for your point about the "Earth being round", that is completely unproven. Forged "satalite images" send out by the sodomite governments to force people to fall into their Satanic beliefs. As the Lord conveyed to us in Psalm 96:10: “He has fixed the earth firm, immovable ...”. This proves, in entirety, that the Earth is flat, and does NOT rotate. You are lucky to be given the time to live in God's blessed country, for at this stage, you will burn in Hell for your blasphemous lies.

So I suggest you spend your life "enjoying" your hedonistic existence, or "making the world a better place for others", or whatever makes you feel good, since you will be suffering for eternity.

The only reason the word Atheist has to exist is because of people like you guys.

Do you people really want to know what it is like after death? It's exactly the same as before you were ever born to begin with... nothing.

Why do people always think there will be an afterlife? Just because you were born there has to be something afterwards? Nope... just complete non-existence. Peace.

Or perhaps you get reborn as a new person or creature. That would be something huh? A lot more interesting than doing the same ting for eternity... worshiping and all that... sounds very boring...

Burning for all eternity sounds more fun than singing stupid hymns and walking around in a place with no darkness. I like my shade and night time...

How about everyone comes up something more interesting to do after death? Worshiping and serving for all eternity can't be the best you guys can come up with...

Oh, so you're not an atheist after all. You're a New Age Hindu, who thinks he'll be "Reborn". Perhaps as a dung beetle. Or maybe a Brahmin. Because you believe in Karma.

Thus, you agree in the pre-existence and continued existence of the soul as an entity independent of the body.

You also must believe that people get exactly what they deserve, as meted out by the record-keeping "universe". So you don't give to charity, because you realize the child with muscular dystrophy or AIDS deserves to suffer. Right?
