I used to go to church, but it was corrupt. The preacher was stealing money, along with about half the church.

I don't think Doctor Who draws from much Christian lore. Captain Jack Harkness is a pansexual man who can 't die. (Well, he can, his body just restarts seconds later.) So he spends his life flirting with anything and everything that moves. Including the doctor and occasionally dogs. And the Doctor's sexuality is unknown. He and Jack did kiss.

Yes, a man from beyond with awesome abilities who speaks inscrutably about himself to his human companions and comes back in bodily form after his death, all with the aim of saving the world -- what was I thinking? No Christian symbolism at all!

And, as I said, PANSEXUAL. Meaning liking men, woman, animals, everything.

Also, The Doctor doesn't 't really have many abilities except for being smart. His TARDIS is what helps him travel through time and space. The Sonic is how he gets inside locked doors and hacks computers. And he regenerates after death. He becomes a completely different person. Different look, different personality, different thought process. He's almost never serious, and I believe he wanted to die because 'the universe is better off without him.' He's married to someone he's only met maybe 5 times, and she's half Timelord because Rory and Amy had sex on the TARDIS. River kicks ass, knows more about The Doctor than he does, and is about 1/10000000000000 the age of The Doctor. I guess she's an adulteress than?
Also, another human version of him is sleeping with Rose, and he shared a mind with Donna for a bit.
