    Hello, all

Hello everyone! My name is Andrew and I have recently become a Christian. I was raised as an atheist since birth. I am now 24 years old and have come to love Jesus Christ, our LORD. After searching for an appropriate church to fit my beliefs, I could find none in my area. I did an online search hoping to find a church that took the Bible at it's literal word, and it looks like I've found what I'm looking for! I'm curious to see exactly what it's all about so I'll be around for a few weeks at least, probably much longer, as this looks very promising.

I noticed that in the instructions for this forum, it says to name my church, but like I said, I've been unable to find a church in my area that supports TrueChristian values. Every single one that I've visited seems to take at least some parts of the Bible as metaphor and since I've just become a Christian, I have yet to find a permanent church, but I'm looking.

My favorite bible verse is John 14:6 because it outlines the new-found hope I've come to by accepting Jesus. It makes me excited to get to heaven!

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

I came to Jesus when I realized how truly wicked my atheistic ways had been. I quickly purchased a KJV 1611 Bible, shut myself in my house and read the whole thing within a week while fasting.

I hope you'll all welcome me into your group. I feel that this is the perfect place for me. I can't wait!

A cautious welcome, young man, to God's most favorite forum on the internets.

You seem to be on the right path, having rejected the smelly primate-worship system of belief that is atheism. Once we determine that you are above-board and legit, we will open our arms to you that much more.

Odd username, I'll say. Let us hope you are "curious" about the Word of God and matters of faith as opposed to "bi-curious" and sexually immoral like most youth of today.

The verse of Scripture you picked is a nice one. It should be comforting to all who are Saved™ (and those who aspire to be) when thinking on God's "one way street" to heaven through Jesus Christ. Amen!!!

    Pastor Ed

Bi-curious? Of course not! I simply picked the word "curious" because I'm new to Christianity and am trying to learn more about it.

Hmmm... The one that stuck out the most to me was the story starting in Genesis 37 about Joseph and his coat of many colors. It made me very hopeful about God's love. It showed me that God will look out for me even if no one else does, just as God improved Joseph's life, even when his own brothers disowned him and did him a terrible injustice. This story was special to me since I have no idea what evil my family of unjust atheists may do once they find out I'm a Christian, but now I can be hopeful because I know God will be with me.

And didn't God kick ass in Egypt! The way God engineered terrible famine for seven years just so Joseph could look awesome and gain passive aggressive vengeance on his brothers was magnificent. I wish I could have been there to see all of them dying and wishing they were worshipping the right God. And how Benjamin must have laughed once he realised it was only his brother framing him and making him think he was going to die.

From this there are so many morals to be gleaned. GLORY!

John 5:46,47 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Indeed, Brother! And I like the way God sent Pharaoh two incredibly obvious dreams with the same message, then smote every Egyptian with a blinding case of The Stupid so they couldn't understand . . . but only Joseph could!
