Of course it was a snake, that's what the text says.

You'll also notice that God cursed future generations of snakes, "thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field" (Genesis 3:14), which would be pretty unfair if the serpent was "correctly interpreted as Satan".

God then told the snake that "upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life" (Genesis 3:14). I'm sure we can agree, that Satan doesn't crawl around on his belly (Job 1:7; 1 Peter 5:8) and doesn't eat dust.

In point of fact Cruden's Complete Concordance displays a list of phrases for each word to make it easier to find the instance you are looking for. Refer to ISBN 0-310-22921-9

Does it have a list of phrases where Satan crawls on his belly and eats dust?

O.k. I get the scam. You are really going to a lot of trouble here. Wouldn't it be more straightforward to just set out your viewpoint analytically? Einstein believed in God and so do I.

              Re: New Jesus Lover here

              Hello.

Jesus is very clear how much He loves Christians (but obviously hates everyone else). In the Psalms we read about the joy associated with loving God, such wonderful expressions of His Plan for Salvation grasped by the Psalmists before Jesus' lived here in the world He made, although the world didn't recognise Him of course (apart from the very few). Is that what you mean when you say "pre-Easter Jesus"?

              Soon He will be returning.

How very interesting! I do hope you'll share your findings!

                  Welcome to our friendly forums!

I was looking forward to (I'd better check the actual expression)
My field of study is "pre-easter" Jesus, which is a highly speculative but intriguing area of study.
..pre-Easter Jesus and how The Gospels would be expanded into a field of study. The Words of Jesus are succinct and clear. Perhaps OP has reconstructed Q?

There are several points in that chapter for OP to consider. Perhaps by arranging all the letters between Alpha and Omega using an infinite number of monkeys would produce a Levantine "pre-easter" Shakespeare? but Anatolian archæologists are not sanguine I hear.
