    My Personal Introduction

    Hello,
My name is Kevin and I'm 18.
I am a member of Westmeath County Congregation with the Church of Ireland.

My favourite bible verse is, "Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." This is my favourite because I believe that hope in The Lord and Holy Spirit is all one should need to hold hope in.

I came to find Jesus when I was 14. During my junior years at school, I was introduced to a programme my schools Reverent had been running. I attended this mainly out of curiosity(now I believe God wanted me to go there). Shortly after I began attending my local church as I had been baptised as a child.

After I returned to school, I enquired about starting a Christian Union for my peers and schoolmates which was accepted. This helped me and my peers find Jesus and God through daily prayer sessions and fund raisers and a chapel service every Sunday to praise our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself.

Dear friend, it saddens me to see you quoting the wrong Bible version and getting drunk with your mick friends on Sunday, despite all that Jesus temporarily did for you at Calvary.

    I will pray for you.

I hope you were baptized by full immersion and at an age where you could proclaim your belief in The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost of your own free will. Otherwise, you are not baptized. God wants his souls to be dunked, not spritzed.

Then do as directed by our esteemed Pastors and head on over to the Introductions subforum and make your first post there, friend. Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus. Anything else you want to share with us about how Jesus has blessed you is welcomed too.

A cautious welcome to you, Kevin. I just hope you're not one of those fluffy-bunny "Christians" who thinks they can ignore all the bits of the Bible they don't like. So tell us a bit about the Church of Ireland. Are they like Anglicans?

Listen up bog trotter, trying to lie about your faith is a pointless exercise here at Landover. It is pretty obious that you are, in fact, a papist spy. You have been sent here by your anally obsesive parish priest to attempt to subvert our God given Mission.

Instead of getting drunk all the time, worshipping statues and being pimped by your priest you should think about God and the True meaning of His Holy Word. If you don't the consequences are too dire to mention.

It is not necessary to take an oath we call "the pledge" at confirmation but we are asked to refrain from Alcohol, Smoke and other Satan-promoting objects along. I took this oath

Unlike Catholicism, we enjoy regular Hymens and allow our women to be preachers of God.

Have your men forgotten how to keep your women in their proper place?

1 Timothy 2:12 - But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

1 Corinthians 14:34 - Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but [they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

1 Timothy 2:11 - Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

1 Corinthians 14:35 - And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

I think God is pretty clear here, don't you?

That's a shame. Women preaching is unbiblical.

1st Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1st Corinthians 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

1st Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

Confirmation isn't mentioned in the Bible either, and there is no prohibition on drinking. It sounds to me like the Church of Ireland just follows a bunch of rules made up by people. What good will that do you? Where is God in all that?

The Church of Ireland remained Catholic after breaking from the Roman Catholic Church. Originally the term Protestant did not include Catholics of any stripe, but today it can.

                          We reject the notion.
Our preachers are allowed to marry so any urge is abolished by love for a partner and for God. It is my person belief that Catholic priests lack the moral standing to reject the notion of the rape of children. They are helpless in the eyes of God.

That is nothing to apologize for, friend. The value of the hymen is well documented in God's word. In fact it is the only value a woman can have until she bears children. When God's law was upheld, hymen was the only thing that stood between a young lady and being stoned to death. If it was not for the hymen, we would not have made it very far as a species, as the only women left alive would have been lawless savages from tribes where sluts and whores were allowed to exist.
