    Intro

    Hi:
My name is Ellann and I have been Christian my entire life. Because of this, there really isn’t a time in my life I can remember when I didn’t know about Jesus. Around the age of 5, is about the time I would say I understood the need to officially except him into my life. This is when I decided I wanted to do a formal prayer with another church member who was already saved. Later, that week I was baptized and I have been doing whatever I can to serve Our Lord from that point on.
The church my family and I attend is called Ridgefield Baptist Church.
My favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 5:22, “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.” This is because it reminds me that while I may not always like my husband’s decisions or agree with how he deals with matters at home, I need to follow his lead. Having this short verse to look at from time to time also reminds me of how lucky I am to be married to him. I look forward to getting future advice and insight from all of you here.
    Thanks,
    Ellann

    Re: Intro

Hello Ellann. Welcome. I am sorry about the unfortunate spelling of your name. Did your mother do that on purpose? Was she drunk?

I'm sure that we would all like to get to know you a little better. How many sons do you have? What's the most wondrous thing Jesus has done for you lately (besides, of course, saving your soul, forgiving your sins, and slaying your enemies before Him)?

Perhaps most importantly; do you have your husband's permission to be here? Based on your choice of Bible verse I would assume that you do, but one can never be too sure.

    Praise Jesus!
Proverbs 27:15 A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.

        Hi Walter Van Slyke,

Yes I do have my husband's permission to be here. I also have a son who is 6 and is one of the biggest blessing (my husband comes before) in my life.

One thing Jesus has done for me lately is help me to cope with the lose of my Grandfather. He recently just passed away and I was the one who helped take care of him. Because we spent a great deal of time together towards the end I felt like I should have spent more time with him earlier in life. If I didn't have Jesus to lean on, it would have been even more difficult for me to make all the arrangements. In his will he had left very detailed instructions on how everything was to be handled and I wanted to make sure I followed it to the letter. Everything worked out and it was all thanks to the Lord.

As far as my name goes, my mother wasn't drunk when she came up with the name. She just didn't want anyone else to have the same one. I don't really see the issue with having the same name as someone else, but that's why she chose it.

          Hi Didymus Much,

Thanks for the correction. I will make sure I go over that a few times to drill it into my head.

Welcome. I forgive your vocabulary. You are after all, just a female and most likely, more concerned with making babies and cleaning.

Do not drill into your head, it can leave a mark. Also, do not answer the iron if it rings. It is just telling you it is fully heated and not a telephone call.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

              Hi,

Don't worry I won't use a drill on my head. I'm not allowed around the power tools anyways.

You are right about the obsession with cleaning and babies part though. Does your wife really have an iron that rings? The light on mine just shuts off when it is ready. Having one that rings seems like it would make it so I could be doing something else while it is heating up.

              It was nice to meet.

                      Hi Redeemed Papist,
Thank you for the new vocabulary word, and I really do mean that. I wasn’t aware of what that meant until you came along. I know it is a derogatory name for a catholic, but I don’t associate with them and nor will I ever. Although my husband has explained to me that some are just following what they were taught from the time they were born and all I can really do is pray for them. That’s all I’m really allowed to do as far being around someone who is not a Baptist.

That's true about the catholics. They are false Christians who have never thought about their beliefs because they were brainwashed since infancy. Can you imagine that? How stupid they are!

They surely are stupid. You would think the young men in the congregation might call the authority of that false Church into quesiton after being regulary taken to the Vestry for a mouthful of Priestsemen. They must be brainwashed from an early age and conditioned to love a Chupacirios round-robin bukakke session.
