Re: Mathematics and God? Musings from a junkie.

And when measuring with cubits, you are bound to get some pretty inaccurate measurements. That is why it is an approximation. 3 is actually a pretty good for such a poor system of measurement.

Now, that's a novel idea. So you're saying, that the result depends on what units are used? So if I have a circle with d=6 mm, the pi value will be different comparing to a circle with d=6 yards, or d=6 miles, or d=6 arquebus shots*?

Maybe your pi=3 theory is an APPROXIMATION. Way back in the day, they didn't have the tools to accurately define a value for pi. And 3 is technically a correct approximation, however not very accurate.

I did know those stories, and just listing a number isn't math.

Also, I'm drug free, and proud. Are you? Maybe you were tripping on acid when you decided pi=3?
The Lord spoke unto me to get back online, that there was a need here, and I find, as always, that God is right. I have been on sabbatical communing with God or I would have been here much sooner.

Friend, what God tells us, in his infallible Word as given in the KJV 1611, is not theory, it is law...it is truth. God clearly says that pi is 3, insomuch as pi is defined as the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter.

Does it matter that mathematics, as mankind has chosen to invent it no doubt in large part under the guidance of Satan, disagrees with God? The answer is a resounding NO!

Sure, one can use all manner of exhaustive methods that all converge on the same value to spit in the innocent face of baby Jesus and defiantly declare that pi is some manner of irrational, even transcendental number, but this does not prove the Bible wrong. It proves that mathematics as we have defined it is wrong.

You see, any time we find something that is in conflict with God's truth, we should naturally conclude that this thing is flawed. But what do the God haters do? They try to point at God's Word as being flawed. This of course comes directly from Satan himself.

Most, if not all, of man's mathematical discoveries rest on the lies of Satan. It is in Satan's best interest to fool us into thinking God must be wrong because then he is able to plant the seed of doubt, and this doubt leads to the condemnation of souls and their separation from God. Satan is in fact the father of lies...John 8:44

So, you come to us, armed with one of Satan's lies, and we are supposed to doubt God because of this? God says pi is 3...therefore pi is in fact 3, no more no less...it is EXACTLY 3. When a man takes a measurement, there is a certain amount of error always present, but when He who spoke the universe into existence some 6,000 years ago takes a measurement, there is no error.

The fact that our flawed invention of mathematics would point to another value for pi means nothing to a True Christian™ who knows God to be the giver of all truth. You may shake down those whose faith is not complete, but you will find that here, where God's Word is valued for what it is, that our faith will not be shaken by any so-called proof, mathematical or empirical.

So, let the secular mathematicians play with their Satanic theorems...when judgement days comes, God's followers will be righteously vindicated.

This is the famous Dr. Snyde? He brings nothing to the table. If you are so fluent in maths, then show me your MATHEMATICAL logic behind Pi being equal to 3. "The Bible says so" is not reason. That is ignorance.

I bring God's Word "to the table." What more logic is needed other than the fact that God explicitly says pi is 3? You may be content to trust Satan and his lies, but I choose the ultimate truth and God's salvation from secular lies.

"The Bible says so" is the ultimate reason...all else is flailing about on your way to hell, son. Why do you choose to oppose God and go to hell? Is this logical?

While I have made a study in secular mathematics...I recognize that it must in fact be flawed with regards to the the value of pi and everything that is built on this lie simply because it disagrees with God.

God is perfect, all-knowing and incapable of telling lies...God says pi = 3...ergo, pi = 3. How's that for logic? Can you follow it?
