Jesus is my God.
I was raised Roman Catholic but was never sexually assulted as was my friend.
Like a good Catholic I drank and smoked and in the 70s did drugs.
Got into some deep trouble and didn't know where to turn and then I found one of those tracts that the crazy bible thumping Jesus freeks would pass out to those of us passing out and read it.
Like a good Catholic, I didn't know those words were in the bible.
I didn't even know you could read the bible.
Long story short, I accepted Christ and it's been an adventure ever since.
In the early years my Catholic friends would ask how I knew I was saved and all I could tell them was I went from believing in God (
Jas 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
) to loving Him.

One of my favorite verses is,
1Jn 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
And, Jesus speaking to the Jews,
Joh 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Joh 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Joh 8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Truthseeker, do not be so sure you were not molested as a child. The pedio-priests of the Catholic church are experts at suppressing those memories in their victims. Landover abuse recovery ministers may be able to help you here

2. The courteous recognition by one nation of the laws and institutions of another.
3. The group of nations observing international comity.

"comity" That’s a fine $10 word! However, it is abstract, and SayvedByTheLord is not abstract. Some say God is abstract, yet He would say that it is a mistake, and smite them.

Anyway, did you not read the now famous words, “Please read this. You are our guest. We will treat you like a jewel on the cushion of our hospitality. Or maybe not.”?

Tell us, what, in your opinion, is the message we may glean from

Ge:8:21: And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

My mistake, in your fervor to bash the new guy, none of you have actually read my post.
So for those of you who were just skimming over my post I Underlined the answers to your questions.
And for those who still haven't got it, Yes I am saved and was Baptized (immersed) in a Independent Baptist Church.
I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart in 1975.
I don't think I can explain it any more clearer than that.
