Exodus 20:5 best explains it. Basically, God will punish you if your great grandparents were cow worshipers.

Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow downe thy selfe to them, nor serue them: For I the Lord thy God am a iealous God, visiting the iniquitie of the fathers vpon the children, vnto the thirde and fourth generation of them that hate me:

Jesus might be willing to grant you a pardon if you accept Him into your life and renounce your cattle, hentai women, pachyderms, and Satan.

Yes. Thank you, Mr. Des. I understand. It is the literal reading of your Bible that matters. Overgeneration guilt. It is not too different from karma that is accummulating. It is not too different, there is someone responsible although it may be a forefarther or mother.

My prospects in your world seem to be dim. I accept it and the potential of bad consequences. I am still striving to be a good person in my world. Yes.

I have all the time thought, where I have heard somebody talking like this Curry-Slurper.
          Then I remembered.

Yes, Mr. Loimaa-Aho. I am happy that you are finding my posts amusing! I am trying to say "yes" to everything, trying to examine the roadmap of the world from different viewpoints. You are providing me with new perspective. Yes. It is beautiful and wonderful. Thank you.

Look at this text. How wonderful! Yes, it is. It is from The Life of Mahavira, Lecture 2.

"An elephant, a bull, a lion, the anointing (of the goddess Srî), a garland, the moon, the sun, a flag, a vase, a lotus lake, the ocean, a celestial abode, a heap of jewels, and a flame."

Your posts are like the small jewels in the heap. They are teaching me a lot. Yes. Definitely.

Yes. I am so happy, you are learning. Yes. Definitely Yes.

My duty is to teach. Yes.

              Luke 5:32

Yes. You are a sinner. Yes.

              Matthew 9:13

Yes. The next verse is definitely to you. Yes

              Matthew 3:2

Btw. Do you need a job? I could use few extra hands in my laundry business. Free curry and 2 cups of rice granted every day, 7 days a week (because you are not Christian, you can work also Sundays!).
And of course you could take part in my prayer circles and learn Bible.

It really cries out for a predicate though, doesn't it? I mean, what about them? Did they walk into a bar or what?

Yes, it does, doesn't it, Mrs. Attila's Wife. I was taking it out of context and I wasn't. Yes. It is the dreams of Devananda (a wise woman). It is beautiful and open to interpretations. Beautiful like the Bible but unlike the Bible it cannot be taken literally. Yes. It is open to many points of view and your angle is wonderful. They are in a bar! Yes. It is amusing, funny and cheerful. Thank you.

It is like Western great literature. Dreams. Yes. It is Shakespeare. The Tempest. "We are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep". It is James Joyce. Yes. Finnegans Wake. The wonderful ending. The River, the woman, is dying and she is being absorbed by the sea. Like our liberation, absorbed into oblivion. Like your Jesus absorbed in your god. "A way a lone a last a loved a long the". The abrupt ending. No way for literal reading. Only dreams. Wonderful Books, beautiful culture.

I am realising more things here. The literal way and the way of dreams. Like the job offer by Mr. Loiman-Aho. The literal way perhaps, an actual job? Of course it will not work out. I will be teaching in primary education. But the way of the dreams? Yes. Beginning of acceptance and friendship maybe. New points of view. New interpretations. The dreams. The bar.

Yes, I agree. Western culture can be beautiful and magnificent, wonderful literature and other things. Gandhiji was once joking when he was asked what he thought of Western civilisation - "It would be a good idea" . He was joking, of course he appreciated it and I am also appreciating Western civilization. Despite my roots, it is of course my civilization also. Yes, it really is powerful. It has a powerful view on the truths hidden from our view, perhaps not the only one though.

Gandhi was joking for same reason that negros laugh and smile all the time.

There is so little they understand. Yes. And I think, it is the same with you. No. You understand even less, you are a woman. Yes.

True Christians are only one with understanding. That is said IN THE BIBLE

                        Isaiah 34:16
                        Amos 3:7

All other books, which are ALL made by men and long long after The Holy Bible are nonsense.

                        Ecclesiastes 12:12

So - answer now (with your favorite word): are you ready to kneel and take Jesus inside you???

This has been an exciting conversation with you all. Perhaps I will gain permission to discuss also other issues in this forum. I am hoping. I am learning. I can see that many of you are very earnest in your faith. I can also see that some of you are teasing me a bit, yes? That is fine and beautiful. I am not too serious about myself. I do not mind. Please, you may tease me or mock me. It is good to be reminded not to take Jainism too seriously. It is a lens to see some aspects of the world in detail but it is not the world. It is not my only guide book.

The world is much more. The bright light of the Sun and the dark depression. This is all so very interesting, isn't it?

After reading this thread, after the fact, This Harsh-she could give the Methodists lessons on cherry picking their way through their Religious beliefs. It sounded like it was down to the family level what was acceptable beliefs. I mean she made it sound like beliefs were guidelines for life not as it truly is, hard fast rules to be adhered to. How does a religion survive that kind of thinking? My guess is it is all that fasting followed by ballistic curry's to keep you weak and confused. I really would like to see her force fed cheeseburgers for a week or so then have his conversation again. See if a couple decent meals would bring her around and more able to follow orders.

That seems the only charitable thing to do to a poor, starving heathen like this girl. Many of these rat worshipers don't understand the extent of their mental and spiritual retardation, thinking that if they talk long enough, their babblings will make sense to others just as it does to them. While they may be brainwashed to think eating beef is not kosher, it is a good source of protein and that nourishes the brain. In no time, she would be able to think clearly, I would imagine. Of course what really needs nourishment is her soul, which requires at least the mental clarity to understand what sin is and just how offensive she is to the LORD. Anyway, I'll pray for this poor, stupid girl, for whatever good it may do.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
