  • Don't Light Candles This Christmas, It's Pagan

I've been doing a little research on the proper way to celebrate Christmas.

What I've learned is that some things we do traditionally at Christmas are Pagan. There is a simple rule you can follow to clean up your Christmas by leaving out the Pagan parts.

The rule is, don't celebrate with light or lights. Pagans celebrated the solstice, the beginning of more daylight, with symbols of light, fires and candles.

As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing that makes a Baptist more happy than a long, gloomy winter night.

Recent winters have seen Christians fighting against the War on Christmas to defend Nativity scenes, the real meaning behind the holiday, and wishing people a Merry Christmas instead of Happy ...
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Christmas is a Pagan holiday, you just choose to use it as your holiday because you forgot the birthday of Jesus. Isn't it funny?
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)

But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. (Luke 19:27)

Nothing you say is even remotely funny, ever.

It's not the birth of Jesus, it has a 1/365 chance but early christians forgot when Jesus was actually born, since it seemed of little importance to them.....

Riiiiight, the birth of Our Lord and Savior is pretty inconsequential to Christians. Who, you know, use His name as their namesake.

None here have claimed that Our Lord, Jesus Christ, was born on December 25. There is nothing in the KJV 1611 to indicate this date as the Gregorian Calender had not been implemented at this time. It was only around 336 years later that some poncy papist came up with December.

For behold, the Lord wil come with fire, and with his charets like a whirlewinde, to render his anger with furie, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

                      Really.

You want us to believe that the birth of the SAVIOR OF MANKIND was not important to Christians.

                      Ever read the New Testament?

To early Christians, yeah it wouldn't have been that important. They didn't have Wal-Mart.

And you guys seem to focus on the other end of His (alleged) life, with the scourging and whipping and nailing and the hanging and the stabbing and the blood and the crying and why isn't everyone happy this is Jesus He has to die for the story to work so smiles everyone while contemplating the figurehead of your religion gasping for breath while life slips painfully away.

Don't have the time, lead me to a particular scripture and I will read that. Maybe someday I will read it straight through, no skipping. But as of now I have math homework, and the teenage obsession with multiple bands and various actors to fulfill.

Don't have the time to read the 1611 KJV? I suppose you don't have the time to pray either. Yet you have time to do homework and listen to music and watch movies. You need to get your priorities straight, lesbogirl. Homework won't do you any good. If you read the KJV, you would learn how to be a good mother and housewife, and that would profit you more than your secular education. And modern music and helly-wood movies are of the devil. Just read the Satan's entertainment forum. If you cut all these vain pursuits out of your life, you would have plenty of time to read the 1611 KJV.

And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

I think I'm good, but if it makes you happy I'll start reading it. Where would I get a copy? Although chances are slim of me being a housewife, and my parenting skill are pretty good from taking care of my step-sister's little boy.
