I've been doing a little research on the proper way to celebrate Christmas.
What I've learned is that some things we do traditionally at Christmas are Pagan. There is a simple rule you can follow to clean up your Christmas by leaving out the Pagan parts.
The rule is, don't celebrate with light or lights. Pagans celebrated the solstice, the beginning of more daylight, with symbols of light, fires and candles.
As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing that makes a Baptist more happy than a long, gloomy winter night.
