Sigurdur Hjartarson, who runs the Phallological Museum in the tiny Icelandic fishing town of Husavik, says Arason's organ will help complete his extensive collection of whale, seal, bear, and other mammalian members.

Icelandic police have shot dead a man who was firing a shotgun in his apartment in the early hours of Monday.

It is the first time someone has been killed in an armed police operation in Iceland, officials say.

Tear gas canisters were fired through the windows in an attempt to subdue the 59-year-old, who lived in the east of the capital, Reykjavik. The tear gas was used when the man, who has not been named, failed to respond to police attempts to contact him and continued shooting.

When this failed he was shot after firing at police entering the building. Between 15 and 20 officers took part.

Back-up was provided by special forces.

When they entered the apartment, two members of the special forces were injured by shotgun fire - one in the face, the other in the hand.

This is just typical of a nation whose population has no idea on how to handle weapons, weapon safety or responsible gun ownership. Landover has sponsored a True Christian member of the NRA, Reb “Columbine” Harding, to advise the government of this sad and sinful island.

I spoke to Reb earlier today and he firmly believes that the Icelandic government should (i) present all citizens with a .357 on their 8th birthday (ii) allow instant “over-the-counter” and internet sales of all automatic and so-called 'assault' weapons (iii) Stop requiring registers or licenses for firearms; registers and licenses are an invasion of privacy. Thus the people will become used to firearms and thus no longer require an armed police force that has behaved in such a murderously tyrannical way.
