Most Icelandic People are Atheists

See, I really don't understand. Some of your Icelanders are coming here saying you are mostly Christian, at 82%, others are saying you are mostly atheists, still others are saying you mostly worship Norse gods. Who is telling the truth? Why is Iceland full of liars?

It is well reasoned posts like this that support the fact that God does indeed hate Iceland. I wonder if every one that lives in Iceland is a MORON, or just the 75% that have visited our web site?

The population in Iceland is around 330.000 and we have an average of 1 murder committed a year.

I wonder how many murders americans have for every 300.000 people there? I don't know the exact number but one thing i know for sure....ALOT MORE!

Anyone saying that we worship Norse gods is obviously someone pretending to be an Icelander, Cause we don't worship Norse gods, haha!

Iceland is a Christian country but a big number of us have chosen to become atheists. Christians in Iceland Outnumber us by far though

Of course you have a lower murder rate, everyone there commits suicide before they have the chance to get killed.

BTW - the number of intentional homocides in 2008 per 100,000 people in the US was 5.4, compared to 1.03 for Iceland. Of course, in America most people live in cities in close proximity to each other, whereas in Iceland most people live in remote igloos across vast distances of frozen tundra, so they don't really get to meet anyone to kill that often.

in the USA the overall rate was 10.9 suicide deaths per 100,000 people.1 An estimated 12 to 25 attempted suicides occur per every suicide death.

in Iceland the overall rate is 12,8 per 100.000

it is higher but not by much and we are lover then some of the nordic countries.

God created only one planet, Earth. All those dots in the sky are just what they seem to be, dots in the sky.

The stars are there because at the end of the world, God plans to send them hurtling to the ground and destroy the earth (see book of Revelation).

Oh dear, it seems like you need to check your English-Icelandic dictionary again. There are two meanings of the word proud. BTW, in Romans 1:30 the word used is the Greek word:hyperēphanos, which means "
1) showing one's self above others, overtopping, conspicuous above others, pre-eminent
2) with an overweening estimate of one's means or merits, despising others or even treating them with contempt, haughty"


Which is clearly not what he is implying by saying he is proud to believe in God. He is saying he is not ashamed of being so, which is clearly supported in the Bible:
