Like the Vikings would eat some dope mushrooms and go Berserk in fights. South America- People ate coca leafes. For your information I did read the New Testament 4 years ago, I really really have tried to believe in god, but the longer i live i look at the world and see that there can't be a god. And Reading the New Testament didn't change a single thing for me

As for why you are not God's chosen people, the Bible makes it clear the the faithful will be rewarded for their beliefs. Considering how much Iceland is suffering, it is clear that God does indeed hate you.

I am curious to why people use this excuse as a justification for their disbelief in God. They say, "If there is a God, why is there so much suffering in the world?". But, from a True Christian(tm) perspective, it makes perfect sense. There is suffering because there is unbelief. God is punishing sinners. Ever notice why millions of people are starving in Somalia and none in Freehold, Iowa? It's because the Somalis are child-raping moon-worshipping muslims.

A cursory glance at your Bible will reveal that God has a habit of bringing sickness, disease, violence, catastrophe, etc. on those that he hates. Look at the Egyptians and the plagues. Or what about the story of Sodom and Gomorrah? Heck, he even drowned the whole world (save Noah and his family) because He was so angry at the world.

So the fact that there is so much suffering in the word just proves that God exists even more.
