I am from Denmark, and I just wanted to point out some of several mistakes and lies posted in this thread.

comments to the 8 reasons:
1. Origin of the Word "Viking": i don't know about that, but surely, we have come a long way since then, no?
2. the climate hoax: Denmark didn't start this, but participated in it along with several other nations. We were simply chosen to host the event.
3. our former prime minister: how on earth is he worse than any other politician in any country on earth?! i mean, seriously? almost every politician lie if they feel they can achieve anything from it.
4. H.C. Andersen: does the devil have sons roaming earth? possible. why would this author be one? he wrote a bunch of fairytales about human behavior. both holy and unholy. glorifies sin? not at all. many of his works speak against these corrupt acts. however, I must admit, some of what he has written is somewhat blury. but son of Satan? come on! no more than you and I
5. Pippi Langstrømpe is a fictional childrens character created in Sweden by the Swedish author Astrid Lindgreen. check your facts.! the character promotes mischief and disobedience to authorities, but is hardly responsible for any of that kind of behavior.
7. the TV shows you discribe are Documentaries, that have been made to raise awareness of the corruption and wrongness in our world. they most certainly do not side with sinners. not in their programs at least. organ transplants may be an exception (according to your beliefs).
8. gay couples have only recently been allowed to marry and adopt children in the state-owned churck of Denmark, however, several of our ministers shun this behavior and ban it from their ministries. NO PEOPLE in Denmark are allowed to rape other people, especially not child molesters. child molesters are punished with one of our highest sentences, and a few of them are being roughed up and killed by other inmates, because of their gross behavior.

summing that up, only your first point, about the word viking may be true. all other statements are filled with lies and/or terribly bad research. as a fellow Christian, I urge you to seek truth rather than accepting such rumors.

I, myself, am not proud of how things are in Denmark. the church is fighting a losing battle for souls, and many churches compromise with the word of God to get more people inside (i.e. Gay marriages). one of the worst things, in my opinion, is the fact that we were the first country to legalize pornography. I can't say I'm proud of that, although I, ofcourse, had nothing to do with that.

I hope people will read through this. I don't expect anyone to simply believe my words, but i beg of you: don't believe the words in the original post. please come see for yourselves, or do the research yourselves if your curious.

Brethren; I've noticed when looking at the global map at the bottom of the page that shows where everyone is located that signs on here at LBC, that with all the visitors from Denmark logging in, Northern Europe looks like a graveyard where evil satanists have knocked over all Cross headstones.

Why do the Scandinavian heathens mock Christianity by their flags showing the Cross on its side instead of the Godly upright position??!! Another sign that Satan himself has a stranglehold on those heathens.

people in this forum seems determined to find mockery and heathens everywhere, it would seem. I'm sure i could find a ton in your nation as well... and even if you are right about our flag. about it being heathen and that it promotes satanism, how can you and your peers possibly state, that all scandinavians are heathens and satanist?! we have plenty of dedicated Christians. the hate and ignorance in this whole thread is astonishing. people should really look into things before speaking, and remember lies and disceit are one of the Sins that God showed Moses on the stone tablets

I am Norwegian, and I know that the flag you used is the Flag of the Republic of Finland (Suomen tasavalta). The correct flag of the Kingdom of Denmark (Kongeriget Danmark) is red and white.

As long as a Monarch is a non-partisan figurehead who believes truly in democracy and parliamentarism, he or she is a better and cheaper alternative than a president, who in Scandinavia would have no real power (like the Monarch), only be ceremonial (like the Monarch), but have to be elected every 4 years (which is expensive).

there is nothing godly about a cross, no matter what way you turn it. it is an instrument of torture, built by man.

I fail to see how God would care which way we turn it. it doesn't get any better or worse. the fact that christians think of the cross as holy, is simply because we've made it so.

my point being: i don't think God cares about which way we turn our wooden instruments.

you are entitled to your opinion, but don't talk down to other people when all you've got is your "opinion". unless God told us to turn our crosses upright, your agument is void.
