There's scientific explanations for everything else but I can see why people would think they are the wrath of God.

How do you, for example, choose to reject something like

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

I myself am not gay, but my uncle is and I have some friends who are. My uncle offered me a place to live when my parents threw me out and no not for any sodomy reasons because he has a kind heart.
I don't particularly agree with it and I do think it's a mental illness because it goes against nature, as we are basically animals we need to eat breath and reproduce
but I don't think its a bad thing

So how do you choose that God is wrong about this but is right about a man who is also God but simultaneously the son of God being born of a virgin and temporarily dying for our sins? This seems much more far fetched on the face of it than God rubber stamping the obvious that men shouldn't penetrate each other's bottoms.

Obviously we know it's all true because it's in the Bible and we are True Christians™. You, however, have some sort of special ability to know God better than those who were divinely inspired to write the Bible. Doesn't that seem a little... grandiose?

So basically you make your judgements based on your own values that you yourself constructed. You reject God's word except when it suits you.

What makes you any different to an atheist? Why keep up the pretence of being a Christian?

Honestly, this sort of thing makes me feel ill. You seem, on the face of it, to be a decent person who loves God but then you turn your back on Him for your own selfish ideals.

Is it not a sin according to you to have those sort of thoughts? Also what time is it with you there? its 10:08 pm with me.

Because every night I pray that my grandfather wh has had a stroke recovers, I pray for family and friends that I have lost or that might be gone tomorrow.

I have just 3 questions for you:
1. If, on my death bed, I believe every word of christ and the lord and I have still lead a non selfish and good life, will I get in to heaven?
2. If the answer is yes to number one does that not slightly annoy you and how can this be fair and just?
3. If evolution is not real, and Adam and Eve were white (I'm only assuming from drawings) how are there black people?

I would like to point out as well I have been called "Unsaved trash" don't get me wrong it doesn't bother me at all I've been called a lot worse in my short time on this planet,
But does christ not say to help others so surly rather than arguing you should try and save the unsavable?

As a moral person I agree with you.

I'm proud to say I'm a Christian and before I came here I did not really read much of the bible.

These 'people' seem to have read every line and follow it to the letter. I've lurked here for some time and the thing I read most is 'show us where we have misquoted the bible'.

I'm struggling with my faith so maybe I'm not the best person to talk to but as horrible as these people are I've never seen them misquote the bible.

I still have a lot of thinking to do about whether the bible is all it cracked up to be.

Part of me hates these zealots but I really don't know anymore.
