Mr Lost, you have raised some interesting points about Estonia's military, so I've done some rudimentary poking about to find out more.


The average size of the Estonian Regular Armed Forces in peacetime is about 3800 (Land Forces 3300, Navy 300, Air Force 200) persons, of whom about 1500 are conscripts. http://www.mil.ee/en/defence-forces


So the Army has about 3300, about half of whom are conscripts. They have no tanks (except for the museum piece you showed us), a handful of armoured personnel carriers and a few artillery pieces.
The Navy (with only 300 members) has one frigate, 3 minehunters that were tossed on the scrap heap by the UK 10 years ago, and a couple of patrol boats.
The Air Force with just 200 members doesn't even have a plane, and only a few rusty helicopters.


It seriously makes you wonder if the Estonian government is pleading for someone to invade. I think even Landover Baptist Church on its own could marshal sufficient forces to take over Estonia in a military campaign. They should just be grateful that we have no desire for such a worthless country.
