I have fond memories of caddying for Pastor Deacon Fred and Oral when I was a boy. PDF always received Oral with great joy, shouting "Oh, GLORY to GOD!" many times over once Oral had been received. What a great man he was, always on his knees for Jesus!

I have it on excellent authority that Jesus is receiving Oral even as we speak.

Let us pause for a moment and reflect on the highlights of the life of Oral Roberts:

• He claimed that Jesus told him God had chosen him to find an effective treatment for cancer. In a lengthy appeal, Roberts avowed that the Lord told him, "I would not have had you and your partners build the 20-story research tower unless I was going to give you a plan that will attack cancer.""this is not Oral Roberts asking [for the money] but their Lord." The project was completed, but has since been "shut down and sold to a group of investors for commercial development." That no cure for cancer was found remains evidence to this day that Satan is a powerful foe and must have infultrated his project somehow.
• Author of "How I Learned Jesus Was Not Poor."
• On January 4, 1987, Roberts launched his most notable campaign to date. Roberts told his followers that if he did not raise a total of 8 million dollars by March, God was going to take his life ... Comparing himelf to the apostle Paul, Roberts begged not to let Satan defeat him. "God" he says, "clearly told me he needs me here on earth. And here's why -- because of all the ministries, this ministry is the only one God has on this earth that owns a medical school." ... Some time later, Oral's son, Richard, took pen in hand to warn of his father's impending doom. Without "the additional $4,500.000." explains Richard, "God will not extend Dad's life" He then pleads, "Partner, we cannot let this man of God die. There is no reason for him to die." ... After sternnly warning, "IF YOU NEGLECT TO PAY ATTENTION ... then Satan will take advantage and hit you with bad things and you will wish that 1985 had never come, " Roberts closed his letter with a hard sell. Sending a seed-faith gift will not only enable you to "STOP SATAN IN HIS HATE TO BRING YOU DOWN," it will also "help you get your hundredfold return." (Roberts raised the money and did not die. PROOF of God's Greatness!)
• Oral Roberts used the KJV translation of 3 John 2 (what other Bible WOULD he use?) to say to his wife, "Evelyn, now this means that we're supposed to prosper" (as Christians). Roberts goes on to recount how, after discovering this verse, God gave him a brand-new Buick. ... Evelyn enthusiastically agreed with Oral that to prosper "is God's highest wish for us."
  
  
• Roberts inspired the following joke that demonstrates his POWER to spread the word:
  
  The Pope, Billy Graham, and Oral Roberts were in a plane crash over the Atlantic Ocean. Tragically they all died and went to the pearly gates together. St. Peter was surprised to see them. "Oh, dear! We weren't expecting you and your quarters aren't ready yet. We can't take you in and we can't send you back!" Getting an idea, he picked up the celestial phone and called Lucifer. "I have three gentlemen who are ours, but their places aren't ready yet. Could you put them up for a couple of days? I'll owe you one." The Devil reluctantly agreed. Two days later, St. Peter got a call. "Pete, this is Lucifer. You have to come get these three guys that are yours. This Pope guy is forgiving everybody, the Graham fellow is saving everybody, and Oral Roberts has raised enough money to buy air conditioning!"
• Before his death, Roberts said, "After I'm gone, others will have to judge how well I've obeyed God's command not to be an echo but to be a voice like Jesus," the statement said. "As far as my own conviction is concerned, I've tried to be that voice with every fiber of my being, regardless of the cost."

As for the last quote, I think we can all honestly say that Oral Roberts has lived up to his ambition. He was truly a voice that told the world what Christianity is REALLY all about!

The thing that's always bothered me about this man (aside from the fact that he wasn't a True Christian™) is he was virtually relentless about shamelessly haranguing his deceived public for money "for the church".

The funds that flowed his way could have been put to far better use at Landover. And for that, he will have to answer to The Lord™.

In 2007, Godly Rev. Jerry Falwell (founder of Liberty University) was called home to God.

Today, Rev. Oral Roberts (founder of Oral Roberts University) was likewise called to sit beside The Lord.

Is Pat Robertson (founder of Regent University) next?

While I don't particularly care for the liberal politics and permissiveness of these three esteemed and Godly educators, I do admire the tremendous help they've been in educating many young Conservative Christians that have entered public service by joining the staff of the Bush administration.

Pat Robertson's Regent University provided more than 150 staffers in the Bush administration, and together with Patrick Henry University, Bob Jones University, Liberty University, Oral Roberts University, and Liberty Baptist University have trained and educated an army of young, White, moral, and tenatious Christian soldiers for the Conservative movement.

I only hope that institutions like these and Conservapedia can act as a bulwark against the far-left socialist agenda of the liberal academic indoctrination that has been pervading our colleges and universities since the day Franklin Roosevelt took office.

Well, it is day two without Oral Roberts here on Earth. I just wanted to say that I am still celebrating the death of this man who brought True Christianity to sooo many people. I can honestly say that I have never been happier knowing that someone has kicked the bucket and gone to meet his maker. If anyone deserved death, he did!
