Tithing is an essential part of the church. The Bible says to give 10% of everything you earn. I try my hardest. What about all of you guys?

Tithing
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Re: Tithing
By putting money into A real church does not count as tithing as the money is not going towards God's work.
Therefore if you do not actually put money into a real life organization that is dedicated to helping change the people of the world into passionate followers of christ then you don't really tithe at all.But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

I'm a bit confused by that Jacob. I am sure that (insomuch as anyone knows The Mind of God) that God approves of Landover's Mission to bring His Word to the deluded and misguided masses who otherwise would never experience the Joy of Heaven.
Yes, it is sad that in this day and age, money is required, yet we live in a World of Sin and we must do all we can with the tools we have to hand.sigpic

If according to you Churches are not doing God's work, I wonder what you think it is that Churches do?5 Reasons why GOD HATES WOMEN!
- Protect your family the Christian way! Get your daughter raped!

Re: Tithing
I have been informed that the State of South Dakota will be publishing a new publicity photo today so I need some information from my Brothers in Christ. As you can see the Lord has seen fit to reward me with a windfall, my question is that since this is a cash payout I was planning on reinvesting and collecting the interest. I have been offered a straight 5% guaranteed yearly return for the 5 years of a contract. That will be about $10 mil yearly. My question is should I tithe a one time payment to the Lord or increase his percentage on the investment plan with me? I was considering 50% tithe with the investment plan, my joo accountant says that would keep me at a negative status with the IRS and I would receive tax credits to be used at a later date.
I need to make a decision soon as I would like to get upgraded seating at the Stonefest 2010 church services.

I also think that as a man's home is his castle, you perhaps should consider buying a nice new house, or perhaps even building one and also upgrading your Winnebago. You can pick up a nice, fully decked out used one for a mere 550K (including tax)

Re: Tithing
Nice chunk of cash. Best bet, tithe 50% to the church. Its a charitable contribution and it will lower your net income. I haven't paid income tax in years, thanks to Mr Bush. You might want to consider moving the bulk out of the US, when Osamba Obamama get his way your tax liability will change, unless it is offshore. I personally do not keep more than 25 million in US banks.
The Cayman's are a great place as well as Switzerland.

I will be honest I am having a hard time deciding and your opinion is greatly appreciated.

I tithe more than 60% of my before tax reported income. And I think I should give more but with fuel costs today, I really cannot afford to increase the donation. I think $858 (last years amount) certainly is going to butter the way for me to slip into Heaven and get a good place there. Thanks goodness I can write off my gifts to Landover. Last year, I paid zero taxes and got a $57M refund. America the Beautiful.Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Re: Tithing
Brother Benedict,
Even though it seems quite nice, and you would be able to stow a small car and moped in the under-hold, appearances can be deceiving.
I am wondering if the prior owner is a cathlick as the interior seems ..well.. to have quite a spic "flavor" to it.
I am surprised that there are not concrete lions or gargoyles as hood ornaments, actually. Perhaps they removed that prior to putting it up for sale.
Is there anything else in the dealership that draws your eye?
You of course do need some "home-comforts" whilst on the road defending God's Word, but something less garrish would be better suited to a fine, upstanding gent such as yourself.
Please keep me updated.

Sister Phebe.

In Canada I tithed 18% because that is the limit on tithing that the CRA puts on your income taxes (stupid liebrals). I have no idea with Seth, and we'll have to sit down with an accountant in Freehold to figure out what the best level is.Drama queen
