Dear Friends,
I am always surprised by sinners denying God's might. Somehow these sinners forgot that everything that God has created can, and also will, be destroyed by Him. The only question is when.
After waiting patiently for over 400 years God has now clearly lost his patience with the awful sinners in Indonesia. The LORD destroyed an entire mountain! God made Mount Sinabung explode, an explosion with truly Biblical proportions. "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse." (Romans 1:20)
And those Indonesians have given God plenty of reasons to smite them. For example, Jakarta is extremely dirty, you'll see trash and litter everywhere you go. Taking a cab is the most sure way to get raped, robbed and killed in Indonesia. Having raped at least 5 men and 10 women is a requirement before being allowed to drive a cab in Indonesia. It will be no surprise that no one has ever actually survived a cab journey in Indonesia. The alternative, the bus, is not much better since 50% of all passengers driving by bus in Indonesia get beheaded while entering or leaving the bus. Instead of locking up dangerous and crazy people, like it is done in America, in Indonesia these people are made bus drivers. "Their foolish heart was darkened." (Romans 1:21)
There is something very satisfying in seeing the smiting of these evil people. "Ah, justice is done, finally," we say when those Indonesians get what they deserve. Just like in the Bible where Ahab got his vineyard, the reward of perjury and murder and conspiracy. You will notice this is very similar to how Indonesian cab drivers behave. We all know how this story ends, both Ahab and Jezebel die awful deaths. (1st Kings 19) This shows to all of us that there can be only one way to salvation, the way of Jesus Christ! Everything else will end in unspeakable suffering. The only question is when.
