You are all forgetting that Hitler himself was a liar and I can imagine that Hitler was only using Christianity to spur people.

In September, 1935, Hitler remarked at Nuremburg after listening to the Cardinal's speech that "We do not want any other God than Germany."

He has also been reported as saying, "You see, it's been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn't we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?"

The existing churches, chapels, temples and cult places of the different religions have to be changed into 'Adolf-Hitler-consecration places'. The theological faculties of the universities have to be transformed into the new faith. Special emphasis has to be lain on the education of missionaries and wandering preachers, who have to proclaim the teaching in Greater Germany and in the rest of the world and have to form religious bodies, which can be used as centres for further extension. (With this the problems with the abolition of monogamy will disappear, because polygamy can be included into the new teaching as one of the statements of faith.)"

But he's also been said to say, "I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so."

I think he's nothing but a liar and a cheat, using Christianity to further his goals. He said he's a Catholic, but then he turns around to say he's repulsed by religion! He'll be burning in Hell for sure, especially if you remember that he wanted the German people to "Heil Hitler!" which means that he wants them to hail and praise him! If he was a True Christian(tm) like I hope to one day become, he'd want others to praise Jesus and God, not himself!

Yes Heil means praise, but I doubt you understand the nuance of the language. Zauberberg means magic mountain, but I have yet to hear it used in a way that ever meant that someone thought the mountain was truly "magic" more impressive or awesome.

I think you assume too much. I have never believed that the civil war was just about slavery. In fact, the civil was, at its heart, federal law versus state law. The Southern States believed their rights as states to be undermined by the intrusive federal government, and so they seceded from the union. To counter that, Lincoln started the war in an effort to preserve the union. It was not about slavery; only liberals believe that.

World War 2 was not about squashing an evil man, it was about stopping a combined power of three autocratic dictatorships (Axis Powers) who would have stopped at nothing short of complete world domination. Whether that is a good or bad thing is not my point. My point is that those wars were more than just that and Hitler himself has been quoted multiple times in private conversation by such in-council as Joseph Goebbels that he was repulsed by Christianity. Hitler used it as nothing but a tool.

The South succeeded before Lincoln took office. They correctly acted before Lincoln ever got the chance to enable negro self theft. The real problem is the Northern States violated Southern States rights by voting in a man the South did want.
